The Mustang Ice Commander is the suit of choice for Search and Rescue teams, Fire Departments, and all Ice Rescue professionals. Each suit is completely waterproof with water tight hood and wrist seals, and attached boots. Most importantly, the flotation and insulation performance of Mustang AirSoft™ foam allows users to immerse themselves for long periods of time in icy cold water and maintain mental and physical capabilities.
Each Ice Commander has an integrated chest harness for attachment to tether lines, ice awl pockets for storage, rubber gloves, reinforced knees and non-slip rubber soles on the attached boots. As well, each suit is 45% lighter than other rescue suits as it is made in a high visibility welded nylon shell.

Mustang rescue suit

superb in every way, we have three suits at our volunteer fire dept in Northwest Montana, we did a practice ice rescue (there is a great deal of snowmobiling and dog sledders in the area) found a spot in the lake ice that was thinnest and broke away enough to do our drill: putting the suit on for the first time is extremely easy, its comfortable and sturdy, I was in the water a total of three hours "thirty five straight minutes at the longest" never came close to being cold or chilled, in fact almost dozed off it was so comfortable. We pulled and were pulled across the ice to simulate a rescue and absolutely no sign of fatiuge on the suit. I Can't even imagine a rescue (successful)without one of these. The only time I was cold is when I took the suit off.
