Large & comfortable

I bought this cot for my husband and it is a sturdy cot, however found it very difficult to assemble. It took two of us both pulling and struggling. It is very nice once you get it together and maybe it will losen up after time. It is a must for men as the regular cots are too small. Legs are sturdy, especially works well on uneven ground. Doesn't tip if you just sit on one end. Very nice green color. One of the few with black legs, but do think the black will come off in time. It scratches rather easily. Other than that very sturdy - and camping gear is just that camping gear and expected to get roughed up a little.

I don't agree with the 5 star rating

I think anybody giving this cot a five star rating is far more generous than I. The canvas is decent quality, but the build doesn't look like it could handle anything but the slightest inadvertent abuse. Within about 14 seconds, the paint was already rubbing/flaking/chipping off the aluminum frame. The picture-free directions are POOR, so let me clue you in, if you're a tall person who wants a cot they can fit on -- this one being capable of fitting that bill. If your cot DOESN'T match the pictures on the box, or the picture in this listing, put the end rod with the hole farthest from the end on --last-- so you have some leverage. Hard to explain without the capability of pictures in the review, but this will make more sense with the item in front of you.The other review says something about "maybe some thin foam padding" might help. It'll take a lot more than that to make this sucker comfortable due to the current taughtness of the canvas which might relax over time to make it more livable.Is it more comfortable (as is) than ground outside? Sure. Why not. Is it much more comfortable -inside- than sleeping on the carpet? Not particularly.If you're a tall pup and don't want your feet hanging off the end of a cot, and this is the only game in town due to pets wanting to use infinitely-more-comfortable inflatables as claw toys, then DON'T pay over $50, buy some serious padding, give it a go, and put on the "overly long" end connector on -last-.If you have any other options for a snooze, use them instead.And don't put a guest on this thing, unless you hate your guest.

Let her rip.

I have had two of these jumbo camp cots (one was a replacement)and I must say that unless you use this thing sparingly, be prepared for the canvas fabric to rip and tear along it's longitudinal seams.This renders this cot useless/non-repairable.I am 250 lbs.It is supposed to be rated to 300 lbs. Caveat Emptor.

Very Sturdy

I am a smaller person - 5'3" and this is a perfect size for me. I found it easy to put together as I was able to do it myself. The design of the legs makes it sturdy especially on uneven ground.

Good Cot

The cot is perfect except for one problem. One time when I was sitting on the narrow end (foot end) of the cot, with my feet on the floor, I went to stand up. I put my hands on the side bars, to support my weight as I stood up, and the end bar popped off. I had to put the end bar back on, which without help takes a little time. So, now when I go to stand up, I am careful not to put my weight on the side bars. I feel this is a design flaw that could be remedied.

This product will give you a bed, but it defnitely isn't made for comfort. It's very hard and stiff. However, it's better than sleeping on the floor.

This product is straight forward easy to install as advertised. My roof rails are foolishly body colored rather than something more wear forgiving. The soft rubber mounts allow for tight installation and full removal with no marks left or paint abrasion.The weight gives you confidence that it'll take the load. This sucker is solid.If I had one gripe it would be that the gear for tightening/loosening requires too many turns.If I needed a second set, I would not hesitate to buy another set.

Installed in less than 10 minutes

I got this for my 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander. It installed in less than 10 minutes. Very secure on vehicle. I was pulling with all my strength, the vehicle was rocking back and forth, and these bars did not move at all. Great product, includes locks for all 4 feet.

Quality Product that Does the Job

Thule products are of very good quality and this is no exception. It works as advertised. The only slight issue I had is that the straps that wrap around the existing rack are seemingly not long enough to wrap around thicker roof rack bars (like my Pathfinder). I was able to get it to work however by sliding the cross bar out of the attaching feet, extending the straps as far as they would possibly go, installing the feet and then sliding the cross bar back through. Also, without any roof carrier attached, the bars do cause some wind noise at higher speeds.

Ropes are fraying and snapping after one month of use!

This product looked great, and had wonderful reviews. We were excited to receive it and set it up. It's very comfortable. However, we've used it for about one month, and yesterday my daughter noticed that a rope had snapped. At first I thought it had come undone, but then I looked more closely and realized that not only had it snapped, almost all of the ropes were chafing on the spreader bar and many had worn more than halfway through already. With only small children on it, another rope has had one of its three strands snap. So basically this is unusable after only one month. We never had anyone heavier than 150 pounds use it, and together with children, no more than 220 pounds total on it at one time. So much for 400 pounds!EDITED: Although Amazon never got back to me about returning this, the company Texsport was very willing to work with me and is sending me a new hammock. 5 stars for Texsport customer service!

I thought the hammock was well worth the price I paid. The quality seems to be good. To get it connected to the frame I needed to tie it with ropes and then lay on it for a few days to strech it out , but then it fit perfect. Does not come with a pillow as the picture shows and the shipping took a little long. 2 Weeks from the day I purchased it. Overall I would give it a recommend *****

Fits my 2008 Forester Sports perfectly

I did not buy this from Amazon but I am reviewing this on the product itself. These are about 49 1/2 inches long.Cons1. squared so it can cause a bit of whistling noise (will need to move more backwards on the rails)2. locks not included and are not cheap (will need to purchase to deter theft of racks)Pros1. fits perfectly with my 2008 Forester Sports2. easy to adjust and move around3. sturdy and lightweight4. it's a Thule duhI plan to get me the Rola 59504 on Amazon so I can pack my stuff ontop.

440 is made for Subaru only.

Don't buy this rack system unless you own a Subaru Forester or Outback. It won't fit any other car. You must also purchase the appropriate adapter for your model. It's best to phone Thule and find the rack system that will fit your car before ordering from Amazon. Looks like a well made product, though.

May need tweaking

This is a great stand. As the other reviewers said, one person can easily set it up and hang a hammock with no assistance at all. It holds me (250+ lbs) and feels quite sturdy and safe. BUT if your hammock is less than 11 or 12 ft from tip to tail, you'll need to buy more chain. I'm not complaining, but I thought others would want to know.

Nice looking new design- forgot to design out the wind noise

The bars and foot kit went together well and attached to my factory rack. I don't have the accessories (bike carriers) on yet. The install was pretty straight forward. Rack was on in <1/2 hour. This rack replaced my old Thule square bar version on the same truck. I can't believe the wind noise with the "aero" bars. It sounds like someone is blowing in a coke bottle the entire time you are driving above 40mph. The rubber strip is even insalled the entire bar length to cover the t-slot. I can't figure out if the noise is coming from the wind across the load bar or something else. To top off my $$$ purchase, I'll have to break down and buy the faring to see if that makes the noise better.Overall:-Looks really nice.-Can't stand the wind noise on the new aero bars vs. my old square bars

Bars are sleek, light, strong, and look good. However, they come without the end caps, which are part of a separate "fit kit". Endcaps are another $10+. It's like getting a pair of sneakers without the laces.

Part of a great rack system.

I bought these bars as part of a Thule rack system for my 2003 Honda Element. I absolutely love this whole system. Everything is designed and fits well, and it all looks super sleek and stylish riding on my roof. Thule makes the towers super easy to snap on and off too which is great when you wanna wash the roof of the car without the bars in the way.

I received my heater in less than 5 days and that was with free shipping. The heater was easy to install however it did not include the 3 bolts that were required for set-up. Once I found the blots needed, I hooked up the heater to a propane bottle and it worked just as expected. Overall the unit looks a little flimsy but it is exactly the same unit that is sold at Menards for $20 more than I paid at Amazon. I've only used it a few times but so far it seems just fine.

Bought this for my husband and father for Christmas..my husbands fit perfect and he likes it for keeping all this guns and tools etc organized. Was easy to instal and fit perfect. However, my fathers did not fit in his truck...there was something with 2 different models produced in the year his truck was build. However, I was able to return it and Amazon reimbursed me for shipping which was awesome! Thanks

Great feminine option

What sets this bag appart from others is its femininity. I have seen many wheeled cases... all of them "luggage looking" in construction... and couldn't bring myself to purchase one. I'm a woman, I have style, I don't want to be lumped with all the men but rather stand out on my own. This bag allows me to do that. It's made of nice quality leather, the stitching is strong, and it holds quite a bit. It's not for those who need to lug a ton, but my 15.4" laptop fits the sleeve (snug, but it does fit), there's room for a few files and my leather portfolio, and in the front area I carry a power cord, extra USB connector, and some basics like pens, extra discs, etc. The detachable wheels are a GREAT idea. It does take a few minutes to remove them and then conceal the open zippers, and it's not the most graceful task, so I'd recommend removing it prior to meeting your clients! That being said, those minor inconveniences are a small price to pay for the ability to relieve my neck and shoulder of the burdon of a briefcase.I purchased the red and it's gorgeous. It's a show-stopping shade very similar to the color of lipstick the starlets wore in the 50's and 60's. I'd recommend looking at all of the colors directly on the McKlein website (www.mckleinusa.com) because the interior and thread colors are sometimes ususual and obvious (such as what appears to be red thread with black leather, and orange thread with brown leather). The interiors also come in different colors (mine is orange). I found the McKlein representatives very helpful in answering any questions I had.Oh, if anyone is interested in the pink, the rep told me it was closer to a bubble-gum pink than a blush pink :)

Nice classy rolling briefcase!

I am very satisfied with my new briefcase. The outer pocket is large enough for my planner/notes. The large inner pocket fits my laptop in the included protective envelope and fits my power cord, Ethernet Cord, mouse, ipod, and earphones. I put file folders behind the laptop along the back. I can't say this is ROOMY, but it fit all the essentials. It rolls very easily and the back has a pocket so it can be piggy-backed on top of another rolling tote. The handle does stick from time to time going down but no trouble going up and very sturdy.

Love the bag!
