Excellent Steel Grate for Smaller Wood Burning Stoves!!

This Steel Grate is a perfect fit for my wood burner which only has a 15" door to add logs to the fire. Before I started using this Steel Grate my fire would just smolder & smoke every time I attempted to start it up putting off so much smoke that it filled up the house. I also had the same problem with the smoke when I was successful at starting the fire with keeping it going throughout the day. The Steel Grate has solved my smoldering smoke problem filling up the house. It's easier to start the fire and it lasts a lot longer using the Steel Grate! I would recommend this product to anyone who has a smaller wood burner or smaller fireplace.

This was a little smaller than expected, but is well made and still fits nice in our free standing fire place. We did not realize that the legs extend out and the measurement is taken at the extended legs.

Just Right

This grate was just the right size for our small stove/fireplace. It seems to be very sturdy and has a small piece of what is probably hardware wire underneath, so that the little pieces of wood/embers don't fall through too easily. However, it isn't smaller on one side than the other--it's square-shaped, not triangular. That doesn't really matter much. I'd absolutely recommend it! A great deal for the price!

Costs a lot but it does work very well

We use this to pull heavy steel slides out of a mold. It works well and the handle release is perfect for getting it disconnected. The magnet is very heavy and obviously very strong. We've only lifted things that are basically flat so not sure if you could lift a pipe with it or not.

Fantastic winch

So far, this thing has been amazing. I actually end up using the compressor quite a bit more than I expected. I coupled it with a WARN 73938 PowerPlant Auxiliary Air Tank and two 3/8" x 25' Goodyear Rubber Air Hoses [Yellow] to route from the winch under the car (04 Jeep Wrangler), and back to the spare "battery tray" under the hood where I added a filter and regulator. With that setup, it will run an impact wrench long enough to pull wheels, air up tires, run a cutoff wheel for a few minutes, et cetera. The battery drain is relatively low for the compressor too; I have run it all day two days in a row over a weekend to work on another car, and the Jeep still fired right up on Monday (Diehard Platinum battery).As for the winch, there's not much to say, it's a Warn & hasn't let me down at all. Battery load is comparable to other winches, maybe a bit better, though it's unloaded pull speed is slower than most of their other 9500 LB winches, likely due to the compressor. I wish you could get them bare, as I prefer synthetic line, but pulling the steel line off wasn't too big a deal. I did have to trim part of the cover to mount it, as it would not clear the winch-protecting tube on my bumper. It is a very big & heavy, but that is to be expected being both a compressor and winch.The only disappointing part to me has been compatibility with the WARN 76080 Winch Wireless Control System. It will work for line in & out, but has no means (that I can find) to turn on the compressor, which would have been nice.Overall, this winch is nearly perfect for what I need, and if you compare it to pricing another winch and on-board-air setup, I think the price/weight/performance is right too.

I got this winch within days of ordering. It came greatly packaged and easy install. It runs air tools great and inflates 35 inch tires from 12 psi to 32 all four less tham 12 minutes. The winch works flawlessly and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a great winch and air compressor. It is way faster than any decicated air system that mounts under the hood.

This works great and was very easy to mount. Given the cost of an on board air system and winch, the price isn't out of line. I had no room under the hood for an air system and this solved all my problems and I am very happy and confident with it.

Great sump pump backup for short periods

We have a totally satisfactory sump and sump pump in our basement which eliminates water completely as long as we have electricity. Once in a while we lose electricity during heavy rain and if the power stays off long enough we end up with water in the basement. We have access to a generator but in our area power outages rarely exceed a few hours so it is usually more sensible to do without for a few hours. After Irene hit our area we decided to get a backup system for our sump pump. We researched battery powered models which are expensive, and the batteries need to be monitored carefully for a reliable backup which will not last long anyway. Water driven pumps are less costly but using water to get rid of water just doesn't make a lot of sense. In our case, discharging at least 30% extra water would just lead to more basement flooding. If you have a place for all that water to go you might consider a water driven backup.We stumbled upon the Gusher during an Internet search and realized it might meet our needs. This is a very well constructed pump that moves a LOT of water with very little effort. We mounted the pump on the wall above our sump pit, half way from the pit to the point where the discharge pipe exits the house. It took a few hours to install the 1-1/2" PVC and flexible pipe required to plumb the intake and discharge. This is not terribly difficult but you need to be comfortable working with PVC pipe and drilling through your sill to run the discharge pipe.The performance of this pump FAR exceeded our expectations. We can empty the 25 gallon sump pumping by hand almost as fast as the 1/2 HP electric sump pump! We can very easily keep up with incoming water during a very heavy rain event. This pump could be operated by almost anyone. It does not require vigorous pumping or lots of geffort. This is exactly what we hoped for and the pump looks like it will last for decades without needing service (that might be a bit optimistic).This a maintenance free backup system for a sump pump that will work during power outages as long as someone is present to operate the pump. If the power goes out during flooding and there is nobody to operate the pump it will obviously not work.If you are considering a hand pump to backup your sump pump, this is a great solution. This pump is sold primarily as a bilge pump for boats and it would certainly work well for that. I would feel very comfortable with this pump in any boat up to at least 50 ft in length. Who knows, if they had a bunch of these pumps in the Titanic maybe things would have turned out better!

Whale Gusher Titan Hand Diaphragm Pump Does the Job

I have a basement sump that fills with water quickly during rains. Even though I have a battery backup for my sump pump, I wanted a hand pump that I could use for those occasions (thankfully rare) in which the power goes out for more than a day.This pump fits the bill very nicely. I easily connected it to sump pump hose and connectors from a local hardware store. Although I haven't been faced with a power outage yet, the pump worked nicely when I tried it out during a rain. I found I could pump out the water out of the pit, across the basement floor and up about 7-8 feet without much effort. It was a lot easier than carrying the same amount of water in buckets! Just putting the pump on the floor and pumping was okay for the test but I will be bolting it to a board to make the pumping action easier, as another reviewer suggested. The pump has holes in the base for the bolts or screws.All in all, I feel this was a good buy. The mechanism looks sturdy enough to last for quite while.

The ultimate hanger for heavy fixtures

I recently needed to install a very nice and very heavy (57 lbs) light fixture in my dining room. This item consists of a steel square tube, a section of all-thread and nuts, a heavy gauge junction box and some other hardware. I spent much more time cutting a hole in my 1920's ceiling than reading the instructions for and installing this brace. The chandelier installation was very straight forward, and is complete. I do not have to worry about the chandelier falling, even if I swing from it!

I Like What I'm Hearing.

I got this receiver a few days ago to upgrade from my basic Pioneer XV-HTD540 receiver/DVD combo.I'm using the same speakers from before but I swear,this receiver has just breathed new life into them.They sound much more dynamic from the same movies I've been watching.I really wanted the HDMI and Optical audio connections and am really happy to have them here. This reciever has more options than anyone is likely ever going to use but my favorite so far is the included microphone attachment that will automatically set up your equalizer to the specs of your room by audio noises through the speakers then received by the microphone attachment(note:hook up component cables from the reviever out to your T.V. to get on screen interaction to make this and other options easier).I know this isn't the only receiver to have this feature but it sure is nice to have on a relatively inexpensive one like this, especially if you don't feel like fiddling with the EQ to find your sound. I listened to it before doing the auto set up and it was nice but after the auto set up, WOW, what a difference. I also like how this receiver will tune into whatever source you've set to adjust the listening options(like Dolby Digital,DTS,or even the Sports setting during a game)for what your watching. It also supports both XM and Sirius radio.Only downsides are that when your using HDMI through the receivers ports,you have to turn the receiver on for the signal to get to your TV. Not a big deal and there are ways around this if you get creative enough. The other being that this reciever only passes through audio via HDMI, it doesn't decode it to play through your speakers. That's only a big deal if you have HD DVD or Blu-ray, as HD audio can only be heard through HDMI or................you can get a player with 5.1 analog audio outs to hook into the 5.1 analog ins on the receiver. That's what I did. Now I have hi def movies with their hi def audio playing through my receivers speakers. It's the only way to get hi def audio if your reciever doesn't decode from HDMI. Most of those receivers though are alot more expensive, so I found this to be a great alternative.Overall, I'm just glad to finally have a reciever with options now.I like this one alot,it's going for a really good price right now and is actually much less than the Harmon Kardon reciever I was looking at which offered the same features. Plus this one is much more powerful than the HK. I feel good about keeping this one around for years to come as it's able to pass through 1080p video, some of the best audio from HD DVD/Blu-ray dics and is 7.1 capable.If your looking for a good mid-range receiver for a good price, this is it.

Quite a good receiver for the money

I've owned 2 Pioneer receivers, and this one is really nice. It's got front-panel buttons to switch between each source (like a standard AV switchbox), TV out for the menus (so you don't have to do it all by looking at the tiny LED display), and a very nice universal learning remote with its own LCD screen. The 2 HDMI inputs are appreciated as well.My only problem with Pioneer receivers is that they make it hard to tell if you're in the surround mode you want to be - a bunch of confusing, useless modes can potentially prevent you from just hearing the surround track in its original form. Still a great buy though!

good sound, poor remote

This receiver has very good sound quality. For this alone and its various sound settings I would give this product a 5 star rating. But there are a few things you must know to make an informed purchase. First if you input an hdmi source you must output the same. The same also goes for component input and output. It would have been nice to have the ability to input any source (component, composite or s-video and have it output to hdmi. Also hdmi is pass through so if you want sound from your TV fine. Just don't expect sound to come out of the speakers attached to your receiver unless you use a digital coax, optical or component audio cables to make it happen. It's not a big deal for the sound quality you receive. The "On Screen Display" is not available in hdmi. This was a little disappointing. But my biggest disappointment was the remote. It's excellent at controlling the receiver itself but falls flat on its face controlling other units. It will not work with Samsung TVs. I called Pioneer on this and was told they do not support any Samsung TVs with this remote because they have problems with them. Of course it didn't work with my Toshiba or Sony DVD players either. I was looking forward to this unit being the control center for my AV experience, but I was wrong. As a test I went back and tried my old AV receiver remote (which is about 4 years old) and it worked right away on TV, HD dvd, DVD recorder and Xbox 360 units. Overall for the price this Pioneer unit is great for sound quality and this is of course what we're buying it for in the first place, so I will keep it and enjoy it. For the price it was one of my lowest price purchases and I think well worth the money. It would have been nice though to retire some remotes instead of having to add another to the growing collection. Maybe it's time to look at the universal to control them all.

This is a quality perfume, use as such.

Angel by Thierry Mugler is a wonderful perfume, and because of it's quality, you should only spray or dab a little bit. With cheaper fragrances, you have to spray it all over to feel like you're getting the scent to stay with you all day, but this is not the case with Angel. I've read some people think it is way too overpowering, but if you use it sparingly, you will enjoy it more. I also feel like this may not be a perfume for every day casual wear. Because of it's quality and of it's cost, you might want to save it for evening and/or dressing up. If so, then even a small bottle will last you a long time. I do like this perfume very much, because it is different and not what everyone else is wearing. Enjoy!

Love at first whiff

The first time I smelled this scent, a friend of mine was wearing it when a group of us went to a play. As soon as she came into the room I had to ask her what type of perfume she was wearing. It was fairly new at that time, more than 10 years ago. I went out the next day and bought my first bottle and I've been wearing it ever since.I'm really picky about perfumes and there aren't many that I like. Even many of the ones I like on other people don't smell good on me, but Angel by Thierry Mugler is one that I absolutely love. Whenever I put it on it just makes me feel good. The description of the fragrance is refreshing, oriental and woody with touches of vanilla, sandalwood, and patchouli. I guess I would agree with that description although it doesn't totally describe it. Do you know how it is when you're just drawn to a certain fragrance and you can't exactly explain why? Whenever I'm wearing it, even after several hours I still notice it and love the smell of it in my hair or on my wrist.One thing about this eau de parfum spray is that it is fairly intense. If you spray it on your pulse points you'll still be able to smell it 8 or 9 hours later. Sometimes when I don't want it to be too heavy, I'll just spray it into the air and walk into the mist.Although I used to change between a few different fragrances, since I discovered this one it's the only one I wear. Nothing else seems to come close. The star shaped bottle is really pretty too. The photo here doesn't do it justice.

Not quite 1/0 Awg but close

So for the cash you won't be disappointed with what you get. This kit offers more than most do at an increased price. Now although it is not solid copper and is not quite 1/0 AWG more like 2/0AWG it is however as they say good enough for government work. It has served me well in powering a 4000/1 watt and a 1600/4 watt amps both in the Stax family of amps by Power Acoustik. I liked that the wire was very flexible and easy to strip and install of course once you get it past the fire wall and pull up the carpet. I just wished it came with a wire protector for the firewall but other than that. OH and don't forget to pick up 2 ANL fuses for the distribution block. And now let the current flow! Pretty Good

Alright, so this is a pretty decent package. the wire itself isn't that great, if you're looking for 0awg because you need to power a super sick fatty system then get some better wire than this. That being said, it powers my 1700watt RMS D class mono amp and my 1600 peak 4 channel speaker amp just fine. The wire isn't pure copper so you won't get the most power possible out of it but for the system I've got there have been no problems. On the plus the fused distribution block is reallllllly nice. That part alone runs for $30-40 depending where you shop, and the ground distribution block is also sweet which would run you about $20 alone. So really, you're getting the wire, ANL fuse and fuse holder (which is also poor quality) for like 10 bucks. All in all you get a sweet set up for the price, but highly NOT recommended to those who want to upgrade to a super powerful high quality system, other than that this is the way to go!

Missing pieces...

I bought this kit in November. I thought for the price the wires were a descent deal however, my kit was missing pieces from the battery terminal that made it useless. I had already run and cut the cables so I couldn't just repackage it and sent it back to amazon for a replacement so I tried to call the company (DB http://amzn.com/dp/B000OQ2ZBC/?tag={ucomicscom}) and they were nice but said they couldnt send me just the terminal, I asked if I could just buy it? Nope, send it back to amazon for a new one...Urrrghhhh! So I paid for the wires and a distribution block... bummer.
