Pro Quality Tool for DIY Cost

After considerable research on the available self adjusting "chalk line" laser levels I chose the "David White" (48-M2XT) version of the CST/Berger 58-ILMXT.Quality & Pricing: Both companies are subsidiaries of Robert Bosch Co. and I think that says something right off the bat about quality. The M2XT and the ILMXT are identical units with a price edge to the M2XT.Capabilities: Both units provide a horizontal, vertical, and crosshair lines by pushing the power button to cycle through these choices. What really nice is that these units also provide a fourth option that is a manual "tilted" crosshair that allows for the unit to be tilted beyond its 5 degree self adjusting limit so that croshairs can be projected on ceilings and high up on wall if needed. Other chalk line lasers will simply start to flash and freak out once their self adjustment limit is exceeded.The levels have a nice large 130 degree vertical "lens" opening that in the self adjusting mode will allow the vertical line to "spill over" onto the ceiling above the unit and allow for overhead layouts as well as floor and wall layouts. You may have to move the unit and realign it with prior ceiling layout marks on long runs but I consider that a minor issue seeing as other chalk line units dont throw a ceiling line at all.Both units can be used out doors in "flashing mode" with an accessory laser detector (again the laser detector unit is identical but with different branding) to allow deck, window, exterior layouts. Look for the Int/Ext kits to get the laser detector if youre so inclined, otherwise it can be purchased separately at a later time. The laser detector itself is very well thought out and actually has high mark low mark audible alarms!The only nitpicky gripe I have (and reason for the missing 5th star) is that there are not micro adjustment's for the vertical and horizontal lines built onto these lasers. However, that missing feature is quite common in chalk line lasers. The only one I've seen this on was the Ryobi AirLock ($49) which I intially considered before deciding to invest in a bit more quality. I am using a LP12-UM LaserPole Leveling Platform as my interior stand and that unit does have micro adjust features for pan (vertical) and horizontal adjustments. The included mini tripod functions for smaller (not so tall) layouts and is quite well made. The magnetic adaptor is strong and useful. A velcro strap is also supplied as a standard item.The difference in price for a lot of a lot of lasers is the brilliance of the lasers and thickness of line. The twin 635nm red diodes in the M2XT and the ILMXT "outshine" many and is one of the reasons it can be used outside with a laser detector. The nice thin line coupled with a better than most accuracy of 3/32" at 30'(NOT 3/32' @ 100' as listed on Amazon) were two more of the many reasons I ended up spending $195 here at Amazon(a deal IMHO)for this quality tool.It is well made. I expect it to last a good long time with proper care.

Awesome winch!

This has to be the best electric winch ever. It is very light weight and compact yet very powerful with a fast line speed. So small I was able to fit it completely inside of my front bumper on a Toyota Tacoma. And I have used it many many times and been very impressed with it.The synthetic lead takes some getting used to... handles differently then cable. It is definitely not as durable. The line must be meticulously rewound or under load it squishes together and it very difficult to unwind again. But it is much safer (so I hear) and I enjoy the weight savings. Perfect for a Jeep or import truck.

Trans4mer grille guard

Trans4mer grille guard on my 08 taco. fit on the truck pretty easily. installed by my self in a few hours, also have the light guards around the headlights and the light bar that has the tabs for two aux lights, i made my own bracket that mounts to the tabs to put four 6" lights across the grille. only one screw had a bad thread in it so i re tapped it and it looks good on the truck, solid as can be. do not have a winch so couldn't tell you if it holds. Only thing i would change about this product is i would Rhino line with some tough guard paint, have 2 spots where rocks have been thrown from vehicles and chipped the paint(they use 1/4" crush for traction in the winter here). rhino lining would also make it stand out from my black taco. overall good product, easy install, just takes time and patience. the hardest part was the angle brackets for the winch holder that come through the bottom grille around the license plate. You still need to understand electricity

I bought this to help me trace a short in the rear defrost circuit of my car. I have a decent understanding of electricity, but I have a hard time finding grounds and shorts. In the end this product helped push me to find the trouble, but it didn't pinpoint it exactly. For example when I disconnected the rear defrost wires at each end and injected the signal at the fuse panel, I got a signal along both the ground wire and the lead wire. I didn't understand it at the time, but the two wires had shorted to each other in the wiring harness, a fact that would have made sense earlier to someone with better electrical troubleshooting knowledge. It took me a couple of hours to find the trouble and to understand the Power Probe signals, but at least I found it. I bought this to hopefully avoid tearing into wiring harnesses, but in the end I had to open several harnesses and track individual wires to find the trouble. I'm giving 4 stars because the Power Probe helped push me to find a problem when the dealer wanted $100 just to look at it, and I know the dealer would have replaced the whole wiring harness that I simply repaired. So in the end it saved me money and helped increase my electrical skills.

Great replacement

I ordered this 48" blade as a replacement for the blade on my OE Yamaha plow originaly manufactured by WARN. Warn no longer makes these replacement pcs since they've moved to their "pro-vantage" plow system. But they sold the designs to a company called QUAD BOSS....and they're a perfect replacement unit, however they're not made by WARN, the unit I recieved was from QUAD BOSS.

Works well - but the plow angle lock is dodgy

When plowing, you sometimes hit stuff despite being careful. The release/locking handle that allows the blade angle to be changed takes the brunt of it and stops locking.

Warn winch multi mount

Very nice product. My warn 3000 pound atv winch mounted easily to it and now I can have my winch in either the front receiver or the rear depending on where I need the help.. Only problem, you have to remember it's on the front when you go to load your ride into the back of your pickup or you could do damage to your more expensive ride!

The Warn Multi- Mount winch carrier is the only part of the Multi- Mount system (other than the winch itself)that worked without a problem. If you have a after market bumper, you may have to extend the hitch insert to reach the pin hole in the receiver. I butt welded a piece of 1/1/2x 1/1/2 with a 1x1 inside to beef it up.
