Buy this when everything else fails!!!!

I have two old American Standard toilets (one from the 1950's and the othe from the 1960's - have 1 1/2 baths). We have considerable mineral deposits in our water here in Virginia. My main bath toilet was not flushing properly (water flush would come right up to the top of the rim) because of all the accumulated lime deposits. It had never been cleaned for lime in all the years I had lived in the house (since the 70's). I went on the internet and found this product. I drained the bowl and poured in enought of this (straight with no mixing) so the complete bottom of the bowl was covered and left stand overnight. I flushed the next morning and some of the lime had been dissolved. I next did the same application the next night with CLR. It got a little better. Did the Lime-A-Way for two more nights. Guess whet it dissolved completely all the lime. And for the first time I can see the porcelain in the bottom of the bowl. Now the toilet flushes perfectly. The plumber said that I was not getting enought water flow to flush the toilet. What a product. I had so much deposits that it took four applications to remove-the deposits had completely covered the bottom of the bowl and clogged the water inlet. But, it is worth it. I also used it on my other toilet in the 1/2 bath and left that overnight also, and it cleaned that out in the same manner. What a wonderful product!!! I wouod highly recommend this product. I bought it from Amazon as none of the stores here carried it. Now both toilets work perfectly.

Lime A-Way to the Rescue!

This is a great toilet cleaner. There was a stain in the toilet when I moved into my new apartment. I used two different toilet cleaners, but none of them worked. I though I would just have to live with the stain, that is, until I tried Lime-A-Way. Not only did the stain completely come up, but Lime A-way destroyed all sorts of other dirt hidden under the toilet rim that the other cleaners had missed.Highly recommended for a tough toilet stain!

This product is fantastic! I had a very difficult mineral deposit ring around my toilet. I tried everything, all different types of cleaners and even steel wool with no luck. One try with this product took everything away instantly and now my toilet looks brand new again. Highly recommended!

Absolutely STUNNING!

I bought two of these chandeliers for our living room - we have high ceilings and these look absolutely magnificient. So far, everyone who has seen them has commented how lovely they are and asked where we found them.We were looking for something that was rustic, yet had a touch of elegance and formalness to it. This was the perfect fit.You can't go wrong with these.I didn't have the problems that the other reviewers had about missing crystals - it wasn't that difficult to put together. It comes mostly assembled you just need to add the crystals, shades and top/bottom portions.

Excellent at what it's good for

3/16/2011....Checking in again to remove a star. After 3 1/2 months, I see that the edge has begun to degrade (micro-chipping) at about the same rate as do the much-less-expensive Kyocera white knives. I will send it in and have it made perfect again but must say I am disappointed. Main reason for the purchase was my response to Kyocera's representation that this most-expensive version of their ceramic knives was more durable than their lesser lines. Quite obviously it is not. From what I've seen, the only remaining motivation to buy it instead of their lesser lines is that it looks really cool -- which means nothing to me. I still really like these knives and I've learned Kyocera's free sharpening service is exemplary. However, I was expecting better durability from this top-of-the-line offering.Here is previous post from 12/19/2010.......I have three of less expensive Kyocera white-bladed knives. Have sent them in for re-sharpening twice in the last five years and have been very pleased with Kyocera's excellent service. Purchased this one -- which costs about 4x what it's white alternative does -- on a lark to see what the difference might be. Not enough time passed to talk about durability, yet, but I have noticed a a few things.Like Kyocera's lesser ceramic lines, this is a pure slicer. No prying, scraping, or twisting please. Unlike Kyocera's less expensive lines, the Kyotops still come with points at the tip of the blades whereas they have been eliminated in favor of rounded/sharpened tips at the lower level. The advantage to these knives is two-fold 1) the blade material is extremely hard and the edge lasts much longer than any steel. 2) They are lighter than steel blades and your hand motions are quicker with the lighter weight. Disadvantages are cost, delicacy, inability to hone or sharpen at home. Because of those disadvantages, I do not regard them as main-line kitchen knives.IMHO they're kind of like razor-blades with handles -- and those handles are a proper length and well configured for easy gripping. For normal slicing tasks they are flat-out fantastic. The hard/sharp edge bites instantly and glides through veggies and meats. For trimming fat and gristle from steaks and chops they pretty much stand alone. Working with fish, shrimp, and scallops is pure pleasure.Although they are scary-sharp and the hardness of the material allows the edge to perform unusually well there is kind of a myth out there that there's nothing sharper -- which is not true. One disadvantage to using an incredibly hard material for a blade is that the edge cannot be made as fine -- not as sharp, in other words - as a good steel edge. The material doesn't have the strength to be ground at an extremely narrow angle because the lack of bulk at the fine edge would allow it to chip too easily. Actually that's how these blades get dull over time. Eventually, they accumulate a sufficient number of "micro-chips" at the cutting edge that they "feel" dull. That's when I send them in. I pay shipping one-way; they fix them up and send them back for free. The returned blades are absolutely like new and I start over again. (You might keep in mind, too, that those micro-chips that come off the edge over time are likely going to end up in your food!)I purchased this particular expensive knife on a lark to see how good Kyocera's technology gets. This is the best they make. Some time will have to pass before I can tell about durability. In these few weeks of first use I can see that performance-wise there's no difference between this one and the much-less-expensive white-bladed versions -- but I am talking about excellent performance. If there's a difference, it will have to come out in durability over time. Appearance-wise, of course, there is a dramatic difference. If that's important to you (it's not to me) perhaps that would be another incentive.

The only knife I use (almost)

"Almost" because I do need a paring knife or a bread knife on occasion. I have a nice set of Henckels knives, but they basically only get used when someone is helping me in the kitchen and I'm already using the Kyocera for something else.This isn't exactly the same knife as I have, but it occupies the same spot in the Kyocera product lineup (I have the discontinued Ming Tsai Signature Series KC-200), and it is technically very similar: black, hot isostatic pressed tungsten-carbide blade with a wooden handle. Mine just has a slightly different handle shape and lacks the "damascus" appearance.Anyway, I bought my Kyocera kitchen knife about 7 or 8 years ago, I've used it heavily and as my primary knife ever since then, and I have never had to sharpen it. I should qualify by mentioning that I am careful in how I use it. I don't hack at bones with it, or twist or pry anything, or cut on anything but a wooden cutting board. But with proper care, you should easily get a lifetime of use out of it. It has received a few detectible nicks in the blade, which are too small to see but you can feel if you run your finger nail along the edge. I don't worry about that too much, since that has actually improved its ability to slice tomatoes, and hasn't noticibly degraded performance for any other tasks. Kyocera will sharpen the blade for free if I want to pay to ship the knife to them, but I haven't done it simply because I don't want to part with the knife for the two weeks it would spend in transit, for what would essentially be cosmetic maintenance.The dyed-black wooden handle has faded slightly from use to a striated brown and grey, which I think looks nice; it gives the knife character. I also love how when you use the knife outside, and the sun hits the blade at just the right angle, the edges glow a sort of turquoise-blue color. It looks sort of magical. Anyway, I love the knife. Of the thousands of dollars worth of equipment in my kitchen, this knife is the most cherished possession.

Sharpest Knife in the Drawer

I got this knife about four months ago and have been slowly putting it through it's paces.The knife has a good balance and when I use it, it feels like a natural extension of my hand.It is not a very heavy knife but it's edge is definitely first rate. During the last four months I've put it through all of its paces. It moves effortlessly through just about everything I've tried.For example, I was recently butchering a chicken. The knife glided effortlessly through the meat. I didn't realize it until I started to put the pieces away; it also glided effortlessly through the ends of the chicken bones and made very thin clean slices of the bones as well.I've also learned that I can't chop with this knife on my flexible cutting boards. The knife is incredibly fast on this surface; the only problem is that it cuts through the boards.This is definitely the sharpest knife in my drawer and it is the first knife I reach for whenever I have to do any knife work in the kitchen.

A little disappointed. Here's why

I have always had high regard for Sony's products. They design always used to be very thoughtful with attention to the slightest details. However, I'm quite disappointed with this product as well as the Sony bluetooth headphones that pairs with this. Most of them may seem like trivial issues, but in the long frequent run, they turn out to be really annoying, especially after you pay for a premium product.The few good things first. The sound quality is flawless, when in range. There's no noise or hissing and every note is clear. The device itself is really easy to use and I have no qualms about that; simply turn it on and use it. Battery life is alright, but I don't think you can replace the battery. (Not sure about that one yet.)The things that annoy me are the following. Maybe you are like me too?#1. You can't use the device while its connected to the charging dock. You can't use it while it's charging either. Maybe it's not intended to be used as a desktop device. But unfortunately, that's what I bought it to be used as. So you have to charge it and remove out of the dock.. (leave it hanging or something) every time you want to use it.. really annoying if you are using it on a regular basis. I can't see how they can overlook such an issue.#2. Range is limited, when compared to other transmitters in the market.#3. The power plug/transformer/adapter's design can't be worse. The plug is so wide, when plugged in, you can't plug anything next to it. This may seem like a silly issue, but it can become so annoying, esp. when you have a zillion other things plugged into your outlet box, like mine. How can Sony design something so horrible? They could have made the plug stand vertical like the zillion other plugs out there are. At the least, they could have made the plug retractable. Huh.#4. The audio latency seems to be slightly longer than when connected through other transmitters, which is really strange. I know bluetooth protocol has the inherent latency issues. But it's worse with this device.#5. The coiled wire is such a nuisance.... well, atleast they seem to have fixed it with the newer models.

This product works very well. The only reason I did not give it five stars is the clip on back that holds it in place does not have very much gripping strength. Also, sure wish Sony would have provided a standard-size port for charging. (maybe mini-USB?) If something happens to the charging base, you're hosed! Having said that, the transmitter is very easy to pair, and the coiled cable allows you locate it wherever you need to. I got this to use with my 2nd gen iPod touch and I consider it an invaluable accessory.

O.K., but needs tweaking.

This unit transmits good quality audio. The cable will be a plus for some, a negative for others. It paired easily with my Motorola HT820 headphones. There are some infrequent dropouts. The charging base seems unnecessary and bulkey. The range is about half of what is stated without interfering obstacles.

Reduces fine lines over time!

This is the best eye cream I have ever purchased! It really does the job. I also use it as a night eye cream and I have noticed in the past couple of months that the fine lines and wrinkles are much less pronounced and my eye area looks much better.

Best I've tried

I've spent up to $50/jar on similar products and not found one as sheer/matte texture and that didn't burn my skin. Biore will hold off the oil on even the worst days at least for the working hours until I can get home and relax or redo for evening. This product seems almost to draw out the oil, trap it until you wash, and help keep the pores from getting plugged as well as seems to help prepare a good surface for makeup. I'm so disappointed that the local shops have stopped carrying it! I'm in my early 40's but have been using it since it came out and it's such a wonder! I need a moisturizer like I never did when I was younger but I still have oily skin. They keep making it and I'll stay a loyal customer!

Great light!

I purchased this light in brushed nickel for my vaulted-ceiling foyer. It arrived on time and is even prettier in person than in the picture. The packaging was really well done, so there was definitely no damage. The light is nice and bright without being too powerful. It looks beautiful from the street at night. I had an electrician do the installation so I can't really comment on that aspect of the product. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend this product.

This chinese herb is incredible! I purchased it for its reputation as an immune booster, and indeed it is. The recommended dose is 4 capsules per day - I decided to take only 2 capsules per day. I have been taking this product for 23 months now and have not had a single symptom of anything - no colds, no sore throats, no flu, nothing!!! The research says there are essentially NO side effects or dangers with taking this herb - it has been used for 1000 years in China with no ill effects - a pretty good trial, I would say. It also is reputed to prevent or diminish the progress of cancer tumors and many other illnesses - certainly worth the effort and price, since there are no ill side effects. I am very impressed with my experience with this herb.

Can't tell so far is they're having any effect

I bought Gaia herbal astragalus supreme after reading about some research showing that astragalus extract may help repair telomeres (in DNA strands in our cells). If that's accurate, we might live significantly longer by taking it.So far I haven't really noticed a difference. But I take a lot of supplements, so it's hard to be sure. It could be having an effect without my knowing it. Also, I've been taking only one or two caps a day.... the directions say to take four. So that may be why I haven't noticed much happening yet.One person wrote a review saying the caps were only half full of liquid. The ones I'm taking are about 3/4ths full. I'm not sure if that's good or bad really. (Were they totally full when packaged? Is this really an issue?) I haven't run into any negative effects at all, just uncertain there is any effect.Anyway, I like the idea of taking astrgalus, and I like Gaia's approach go herbal supplements. I'm giving it four stars based on wishful thinking.If I end up living forever, I'll post another review :)

I first heard of eleuthero as being an herb that can relieve joint pain. A lifetime of athletics and skiing has left my knees in something of a less than ideal state. So, I found a product here at Amazon called Good Earth "Ginseng Green Tea" with eleuthero (aka Siberian Ginseng).The tea helped. Within a few days, I experienced a little less swelling in my knees, much less pain, and greater agility.Thereafter, I sought a stronger source of eleuthero, and let me tell you, they abound on the internet. However, I wanted eleuthero in veggie caps. I don't eat meat, and most pills are bound with gelatin or sold in gelatin capsules. Gelatin, like the product Jell-o, consists mostly of what's left of an animal below the knees. The butcher grinds that up, cooks it, and there you have it: Jell-o! Not for me.This vegetarian requirement simplified the hunt, while simultaneously upping the price tremendously.I eventually bought a bottle of Eleuthero Root from "gaia herbs" here at Amazon. The product seems to be a paste or a liquid that is contained inside veggie capsules. So far, so good. The "gaia herbs" product seems to work well, although it is certainly expensive.Thereafter, when I stumbled upon a supply of Solgar eleuthero at the Vitamin Shoppe here on Amazon for only ten dollars, I had to give it a go.With "gaia herbs" you can trace the source of the herb and its freshness by a product code on the label. The same is not true of Solgar herbs, but a little research on the internet told me that Solgar is a respected name among herb sellers and buyers.The Eleuthero Root from "gaia herbs" is packaged in a bottle of 60, and sells for about $20 per bottle (or about $17 if you subscribe through Amazon Prime). As two capsules are the recommended dosage (about 800 mg), this is a 30-day supply.Thus: With the product from "gaia herbs", we have a 30-day supply for $20, or about $.67 a day.The Solgar product is actually packaged in bottles of 100 (although the website claims 250), and in capsules of 510 mg, a dose that Solgar claims is the daily recommended dosage.Thus, the Solgar product constitutes a 100-day supply for around $11, eleven cents a day; or if you choose to double up, a 50-day supply at twenty-two cents a day.Further, the Solgar product is in powder form, enabling the consumer to open the capsule and pour the product directly into tea, juice, or a power drink (or a vodka gimlet, I suppose).Research into the value of eleuthero is limited, and while there is some indication that regular ingestion of eleuthero may produce a number of benefits, no one has demonstrated this other than anecdotally.I feel a benefit from the regular use of eleuthero, and I've been using it in one form or another for over a year now. Two months ago, I bought a mountain bike, and I am able to ride 20 miles a day now -- in fact, last night, I clocked 25 miles before heading home.I can tell you two things for certain:1. My knees feel better to me, and2. my knees have improved in strength and reduced pain during the period when I was taking a daily dose of eleuthero.What I cannot say for certain is that the improvement in my knees is because of the eleuthero. Nevertheless, I am not willing to discontinue its use.As to trying to distinguish between the quality of the two products that have been the subject of this review, I cannot. I take both of them alternately.I believe I am healthier from the regular use of eleuthero, but my beliefs cannot affect your life. Only your beliefs can do that.It all comes down to this: Placebo-wise or otherwise, if it feels good, do it.

I suffer from CFS and feel tired all day. Ever since taking Eleuthero Root twice a day, between meals, I feel a lot better! Stuff really works! Very good product and I'll be buying again.

AMAZING HERB

this is siberian gensing and the quality of this product is supreme. I take one capsule and i have too much energy to spend. I was looking for something reduce fatigue and my inability to wake up in the morning.This product gives me so much energy to the point that it is too much. I can't take it everyday bec it make me sleep less than 5 hours per day and the rest of the day i feel like i am on speed. It is very good for studying and physical effort or hectic days.
