Big, Bold and Beautiful

Just received today, and the watch is large. I had reviewed the measurements, so it was not a shock. Packaging is very nice and modern - box is clad in metal over fabric. Instructions are adequate, but this is a very simple, basic watch. That is what I want.It looks better in life than the photos, but that is expected.Rubber strap is attractive, beefy, and finished nicely. Clasp is titanium and works feels solid, looks well crafted.Case is clean and well crafted in flat titanium. The watch is large, but not heavy.Glow in dark hands appear bright, haven't had a chance to check them at night. Not sure how long the glow last's.For me, the splash of color and style fit my needs perfectly.Update:04/10/12, well I have had the Momentum for 3 years now. Has been my EDC (every day carry) watch. Holds time well, still looks almost new. Starting to get a few character marks in the titanium case, the crystal is still unscratched and the band is holding up extremely well. I do get comments from people, mostly those that are watch people, who haven't seen this model/look combo. I will say several people have really asked the questions another watch aficionado asks prior to a new purchase. Still 5 star, still highly recommended.

Great Value For Your Money

I have purchased these lights for a video documentary with over 80 interviews in all different lighting situations. I ahve to admit that we have handled them quite rough. They have been thrown in the back of the car flown once around the globe and have never failed. Only one bulb was damaged by a suitcase and that's it. The light is sufficient and absolutely clear. The stands are strong enough and the reflector is strong and bright. I am using the little shower cap which comes with the reflector and never used the softbox. So I do not know if they are hard to install. If someone wants to buy them. you are welcome. Send an email to [...] and let me know. The shower cap in front of the reflector has the same effect as the softbox and the bulbs are much more protected.

Great inexpensive lights

These lights have good color temperature and quick startup. And, you really can't beat the price. The only thing I would ask for is an easier way to switch from reflector to soft box. In addition, the instructions for putting the softbox together are useless.

Nice But. . . . .

Set up is easy once you do it once. And ONCE is all you want to do. Do not buy these lights if you think you will be using them in more than one location. The Head is HUGE with or without the bulbs on and are troublesome to breakdown and store. Not good for portability but good for a studio to live in all the time.Only 4 star because of the portability. Too Bulky.Dave Garcia

love Momentum watches and their customer service

Love these watches! I now have three different colors. The battery change is kind of a pain to find someone that can do it right and not screw up the seal and it runs about $40. But the watches are tough and of solid build. The customer service is off the hook at Momentum! These are the only sports watches that I have purchased for the past 10 yrs.

i like the watch....I will exchange it for a pink one though because I cannot see the numbers and the hands because the orange face is too dark, and the hands and numbers are lost in the background to my old eyes. otherwise I like the watch!

Great shelf for the price

This is a great shelf for the price. I purchased four shelves, two 24" and two 36". Some people have noted that the screws are packed inside of the shelf support and that it can be impossible to get them out. This is true and happens on about half of the shelf supports I opened. However, these are wood screws and I was going for a particular placement that did not line up with my studs. Instead, I used two 1/8" butterfly bolts on each shelf which should be plenty of holding power (approximately 50 lbs each) for the nick-nacks my daughters will use.The shelves were beautifully packaged to avoid damage in transit and arrived in pristine shape. I highly recommend these shelves.

Nothing Special

I ordered 2 of these shelves for my nursery. They arrived each having a corner chipped and slightly damaged, but not bad enough to go through the hassle of returning them. They were pretty simple to install but be sure to use drywall screws and/or anchors otherwise they can't hold any significant weight.

Impressive & 5 stars in this price range

I bought this watch instead of a Seiko Diver and am very happy with it. In my mind the Japanese quartz movement wins out over the inexpensive automatic movement in the Seiko for accuracy. The nearest competitor might be an Orient automatic diver (Orient is a Japanese watch company partly owned by Seiko).St. Moritz started out making Momentum watches specifically for the diver market. They are very popular among people in the industry, and the watches are also very stylish out of the water. They don't simply copy established watch designs. The watch has a very nice weight, a solid link bracelet and a smoothly operating bezel with a screw down crown. The overall size is closer to a Rolex than a large Seiko diver, which I think looks better on the arm. At this price point, you won't be disappointed!

Not Exactly What I Expected

It's really a 3.5 star review, and it's not because the watch is poor quality. It's just not what I expected after viewing it on the site. The color of the dial is not nearly as rich as the pictures portray. It almost has a "baby" blue quality to it instead of the radiant color online that caught my eye. There is a wave-like design on the dial, which you can see in the close-up pictures. What it doesn't show is that those waves catch the light and reflect back, highlighting each wave (check out the customer image that I uploaded). That might appeal to some, but it's too distracting for me because you have to angle the watch in order to get a clear view of the hands.The size of the watch is reasonable, it's not one of the huge stop-a-bullet watches that weighs more than a power tool. It's got some weight to it and it feels solid. It's thick enough to feel and look substantial, but not overly chunky. The bezel also turns nicely and it clicks into each position accurately. Each hand, including the second hand, points accurately across the entire dial. I've only had it for a short time, but the watch arrived with the correct time to the minute, and it's still right on, so I predict I'll have no issues with it losing or gaining time on me.I like the look and feel of the band. However, one thing worth mentioning is that I usually have to remove a couple links when I get a new watch. With this one, not only did I leave all the links in, but I also pushed the adjustable pins to the largest position. It now fits just right, but those with very large wrists should take note (I'm about 6'1", 215 pounds).What I'm trying to say is that I like the size, fit, general style and quality of the watch. I expected a different color and I also expected the wave-like design on the dial to be more muted. No matter what level of excellence in quality a watch has, it must look good in your eyes. Because it didn't look as I'd expected, I removed two stars.

I've been wearing this basic model from Bostonian for the last 20 years because I find them the most comfortable. They usually last me about 2 years if I resole it with Vibram soles for $20. When it comes to comfortable feet, I will gladly pay more but with Bostonians, I don't have to.

My Go-To Dress Shoe

I have worn these shoes as my go-to dress shoe since I discovered them four years ago. At that time, I purchased a pair of black and brown, and was sadly disappointed when I lost my brown pair to a flood. Thankfully, my black pair is still functional, but not as useful since I decided to gash them against metal (not the wisest move).I ordered another black and brown pair from Amazon in size 10.5 M which is true to size. Both have arrived and are perfect! This is one of those shoes that make me want to order several back up pairs just in case Bostonian decides to stop manufacturing them or begins to manufacture them poorly. They are very comfortable. I love them.I have noticed that the marbled portion is able to take a shine as well as the smooth parts of the upper, but of course the smooth parts are meant to pop out more in shine and texture.I highly recommend these shoes and will be purchasing more myself.

Husband's favorite

My husband is on his feet all day and he has to dress moderately well. Shoes used to wear our in a few months, especially if the sole wasn't sewn on (these are sewn.) He discovered these a few years ago and now it's all he wears. They don't look worn too soon because of the pebbled surface on the sides, but they still look a little dressy. They break in in a day, and they last about a year.

Great looking shelves

I ordered three of the frosted 4ft shelves and they all arrived intact. They were much heaver than I had expected, but the mounting rails hold the weight just fine. It took about an hour to mount the rail on the wall. I have an old house and I had to find the studs before I could put up the shelves. I had to re-drill the holes in the rail to match the position of the studs. I used a drill press and the aluminum rail was easy to drill through. the hard part was getting the rail mounted level. There is not much play in the mounting holes so it is important to drill the holes in the wall carefully. I was working alone and if there had been someone else around, it would have been much easier. Now that they are up, they look great!

Great Scuba Watch

This watch has held up well through a year of scuba diving. It is easy to read under water. I've had it down to 70' and there are no leaks yet. The band is very long for a women's watch and can fit over a wetsuit on me. No complaints yet.

top of the line

Boots in wide are impossible to find in retail stores nowadays, so I started looking here.These are my second pair of Chippewa's, and they are probably the best made and longest lasting boots out there! My first pair has lasted about 8 years i thinkThese are a great fit,and the reason [i Think] that they were clearance is that the tongue tends to slip to one side after a bit, and the top lace can ride on your shin. There are several ways around this though, so don't let that stop you!

If you need a fine cut, this is your blade

Melimine has to be one of the hardest types of material to cut without chipping. I purchased this blase for the task and it works great. No tape, no scoring, just cut. Nice a clean both sides and not chips. Also works great on fine veneer and plywood. It is worth every penny just to avoid the exta work and aggravation.

Best melamine blade so far.

I use mostly Forrest blades in my cabinet shop. Woodworker 2's 10" for ripping wood on table saws and chopmaster 12" for my miter saws. This 100 tooth melamine blade is absolutely the cleanest cutting melamine blade that I have ever used! I am a little slow and would not couph for the blade for years and will not cut any one else's blades down. I bought a 100 tooth and an 80 tooth blade and haven't cut with the 80 tooth yet because the 100 tooth has not dulled yet. Thanks Forrest for another fime product.

Very consistant quality

You get what you pay for. This is a very good quality blade that will produce cut after cut of clean edges. I wouldn't say that it is perfection but it comes very close. My first run with it was 26 sheets of double sided melamine. You can't be at a dead run with material but if you keep the feed rate reasonable you can expect 98% quality. I would buy another one.

Momentum women's blue dive watch

This is a comfortable stylish dive watch. The overall appearence is nice but if you are a serious diver I'm not sure this is the watch for you. I use this watch as my everyday work watch. I like the rubber band, making this easy to keep clean. I have a larger wrist and this band has plenty of length- it would probably be too long for a women with smaller wrists. The face is nice but I wish it had larger numbers. It shows the date but not the day of the week. I gave this an overall 3 for the features and cost.
