Amazing functionality for the price!

If you have software to emulate drums sounds over USB, this is the potential full drum kit for you! I use Toontrack EZdrummer Multi Layer Drum Sampler under Sonar 8 (x64) and under ASIO Win 7 x64 drivers, there is ZERO latency!!The sensitivity and feel is spot on. Great feedback and altough you have to wail pretty hard to hit 127 MIDI levels, you can easily configure it to automatically max out to 127 on any hit which is nice when you don't need to record such delicate playing.The best part of this pad is that you can easily add on an external kick, hi-hat and 2 extra triggers. Using all of these would open up all 8 pads to pretty much a full set including all cymbals, toms and maybe even more cowbell.Another great feature is that when hooked up via USB, the MIDI IN/OUT acts as a MIDI interface. I have an old Yamaha pf70 piano hooked up to the control pad and Sonar can receive input from the piano!Several reviews warn, and I will do the same again. This is not a drum module and contains no sounds! It is simply a control pad only (clever name), so it will require software over USB or a standalone midi drum processing module for audio.

Good idea, poor execution

This product was a good idea, but the execution of its construction is poor. It is responsive, does what it says, works relatively well as a controller. Problem one was the power, I actually had to send it back to alesis because there was a problem with the jack on the unit. Not a big deal. But the pads, while responsive, are a pain to adjust. The two bottom right pads on mine trigger at the same time (when you hit one, the other triggers too), and I've spent more time trying to adjust this (following the directions) than actually playing the darn thing. Even when I got it, I spent hours adjusting the other pads so they didn't trigger all at once, but those last two I can't fix. I can't even trigger them separately in order to adjust them! After having this for about two years with light use (and, to reiterate, more time adjusting it than actually playing it), I've basically given up on those two pads ever working right.

Good product for the price.

You get more than you pay for with this Alesis ControlPad. It's an excellent addition to an electronic studio or a drum set. The rubber drum pads are velocity sensitive and offer a realistic bounce. It can be used with software over USB (such as BFD lite, which is included) or it can be used with a hardware device that accepts MIDI input.I've been very impressed so far!

The whip worked well. The food chopper on the other hand just whirled the bread around and had to keep opening it to adjust the bread to make bread crumbs.I haven't had a chance to use the beaters.

Differences in , and performance of the 400GB elements drive

My first 400gb elements I bought on Amazon has an on/off switch, which I like very much. About two months later, I bought another one from Amazon. It DOES NOT have an on/off switch. However, when my laptop is turned off, the drive shuts down too, and boots up when the laptop boots up. And the first one only shuts down via the switch. They both work extremely well. I have downloaded 350GB of MP3 music onto one of these drives all in one session. I have some case fans which I rigged up for 110v a.c. I use them when I have a lot of files to load or transfer to different drives. I put one fan in front of these drives and one behind them, as I have had the drives running full time for up to 20 hours at a time. The drives are stacked one on top of the other. They stay very cool with these fans. I have had absolutely no problems of any kind with these drives. They don't freeze up, slow down after reaching max heat levels, shut down mysteriously, and even without the use of the fans, they don't get excessively hot. They are both used daily. If you need an intermediate size backup system, this is one you should have. They have never let me down.

A lot of boom for not a lot of money

I built a custom fiberglass box, using the manufactures specs for my Nissan Altima and I was impressed, after the break in, month or so, I was even more impressed. I value my trunk space, this thing fires from just .75 cu feet box that fits snug in the little pocket on the left side of an 05 Altima. I only had 250 watts of Rockford power running to it and it was more bass than I needed. Nice clean design.

Kenwood 10 inch shallow sub

I have this hooked up in my single cab truck behind my seat in a sealed box. It's wired to the class D kenwood excelon monoblock amp that is 300 watts rms at 4 ohms and it stomps!! My side mirrors shake and my rearview mirror goes crazy! I have had this in for almost 2 months now without any problems at all.

I think this watch is very pretty. I have a small wrist but it does not look overly large on my arm. It has a special clasp that allows you to adjust it to your size making it easy and quick to take off and on. The quality is very nice and I would purchase other watches by this maker.

broke within a week

My baby seemed to like this mobile, but the motor stopped working about a week after I put it up. The mobile would get stuck and make a loud "tick, tick tick" noise - not very soothing. Also the description says it plays 6 melodies, there are actually only 3. The melodies aren't too annoying. Although I would say only 2 of the 3 would be soothing enough for sleep. The third "baby reggae" is cute, but is more for play time than nap time.

Broke really fast

My son loved the mobile--he was squealing with delight when I first got it put on his crib. The fun didn't last, though, as the motor stopped working after just a couple of uses. The music and lights still worked, but the mobile top would not turn. So disappointing. I am hoping they will help me or send a replacement. It's a good concept--especially for object permanence, but it is poorly made.

Fools 'em!

I wrote this review for the silver-face Targa Pro, but it applies to this model as well...There are more than a few knock-offs of the Breitling Bentleys out there, but this is the probably the most blatant, and I think the best-executed, especially for the price. An anecdote to illustrate:I was wandering around the counters in Torneau at Caesars in Vegas and passed the Breitling counter. A very tall fellow was looking at the Bentleys as I walked by and was still there when I left about 20 minutes later. About a half-hour later I was waiting for my wife to come out of the dressing rooms at Banana Republic, holding bags and such sitting on the man-couch there, and this same guy comes walking by with his wife. I was playing with my phone, but out of the corner of my eye I caught him staring at the watch. He must have stood there for at least five minutes! He walked away and came back twice. I could have been nice and said something like, "it's a fake", but I was enjoying the moment!The band and bezel are strong selling points here. The face is an easy enough thing to replicate, but the diagonal link bracelet and the knurling on the bezel, even if stamped and not engraved, really sell the look and complete the illusion.Great looking, solid piece that fools 'em every time. The price point, around $200 for the three sub-dial model or $150 for the two sub-dial model, is reasonable. Only down side here is that wearing a 48mm+ wide, 14mm+ thick watch as a daily driver is tedious, so it's relegated to occasional use for me. But if it was any different it wouldn't be the double-take master that it is!

Really nice for the price

I was looking to buy a stiletto extreme 5 but the price of the custom dipped below the price of the extreme so I jumped on it. The bass came setup really well in tune and the intonation spot on the body and the neck are really high quality. The frets are high polished and the ends are finished really nicely. The preamp it's a little noisy but i don't mind. The neck is nice shape and the thing plays fast. The action is nice and low and doesnt buzz if you play it appropriately. I got the natural finish and I love the matte finish of the bass. The to e quality is very good. Well worth the money at full price but a steal if you can get it on sale. It's not a four figure instrument so you can't judge against one but it is really really nice for the money. I think any negative reviews are from people who expect way too much from a mid price range instrument.

Ha Ha, Fooled You!

Classy and refined.

This is probably the most bang for the buck I have ever experienced in my life. I could not get over the nicely weighted feel of the watch, along with it's dazzling bracelet. The bezel has been quality machined, and the face (all in white) makes it look all the better. If you are looking at chronographs, then this watch should be at the top of your list. This watch is truly perfect in every way. The packaging it comes in makes the presentation even more unbelievable for the money. Buy this watch. You will not be unhappy about spending your hard earned money. You will be thanking yourself.

This thing ain't no toy

First off I didn't buy the guitar from Amazon, buy I buy everything else here so I figured I'd do a reveiw here. This is my first 7 string, I've been pounding on 6 strings my whole life, and I'm 46, so for a while now. The first thing that got my attention was the weight of this guitar. You better have some meat on you if your planning on lugging this thing around live cause it is heavy!! But, on the same note, it sounds awesome!!!! The EMG 707's are beastly in this axe, the harmonics and overtones ring out and swell to a full all out scream. It was a bit tough for me to play at first for several reasons, first off my fat sausage fingers won't stretch very far, and this baby has a 26.5 scale, so the frets are spread. The maple board felt a bit sticky to me, but I bought mine used, so I cleaned it up real good, hydrated the board, cleaned the frets, and slapped some roto nickels on it and it started to feel a lot better. The other thing was the jumbo frets, these are new to me also, but I like em now. And of course the 7th string, I had to play around, figure out where I can use it, where I can't. Man you can get some super heavy tones with that low B, or if you choose to drop tune it I'd imagine the same results, I haven't got that far yet with it. This guitar has opened up new avenues for me to explore, which is what we like as artists. If your considering a 7 string, you can't go wrong with this axe, it is a monster of a guitar. Well done Mr Loomis and Schecter.

beautiful workmanship

I bought this for myself for Christmas. This watch is beautiful, the stem is a little large but the rest of the watch makes you forget the size of the stem. If your eyes aren't what they used to be think twiceunless you have bi or trifoculs. I liked it so much I just purchased another called the tuskegee WOW.
