5Amazing detail
By Kyle
First off, the small picture does not do this ornament justice. There is incredible detail in terms of rust and decay, just as you'd expect with a battleship sunk since WWII. There are plenty of holes, cavities, and hideaways for small fish to swim through. Combined with an elaborate setup of plants, rocks, and anything else you may have, this is an incredible display that transcends an aquarium decoration into a work of living art. One word of caution - this ornament is extremely large. I have a 38G and it essentially consumes 4/5 of the length of the aquarium. Highly recommended.

5Super deal

The ship looks like I have a piece of ocean inside my home. I get a lot of compliments on the look. Seller was incredibly quick to ship and his price was untouchable.

5Great Showpiece for Any Aquarium!
By Francis
I first put this thing in a 29 gallon tank and it barely fit end to end. Doesn't leave a lot of room for much more. Now I have a 55 gallon tank and it seems at home. One thing the photo doesn't show is that the ship is hollow on the interior, and the fish can swim all around and through it. The colors and texture of this thing is very good quality. Provides a lot of hiding spaces for the fish without obscuring your view of them entirely depending on how you place the two pieces. Only warning I have is that you need to be careful with the turret barrels as I have had one break off while cleaning my tank out one day. I intend on re-gluing it as soon as I find a safe way to do this. Some of the interior plastic is also apt to break should you be gripping it, but this isn't so important as you don't see these parts. All the fish I've had seem to love swimming in and around it, and that's why you get these things. Wish the company that makes this would do a variety of ships instead of just this one... I really like it.

5Excellent sound, excellent value
By J. Bakker
If you're thinking about buying a subwoofer, it is unlikely that you are a garden variety movie fan or lover of music. People looking for subwoofers usually already have a decent system, but know that there is something lacking. When it came for me to buy one, three factors weighed in my decision: power, brand, and (of course) price. I've grown up with what I have always believed to be a 'healthy skepticism' when it comes to Sony products. My father had an early generation (1990ish) 5.0 Sony 250 Watt surround amp that performed extremely poorly in just about every function. The only advantage it had over his earlier (1978) Rotel non-tube amp is that it had multiple component inputs. The sound quality of the 50 Watt rated Rotel amp blew the Sony out of the water. In my search for a subwoofer, I was surprised to find so many good reviews of the Sony line. I was looking for a better name than Sony, but when I compared prices, I was compelled to give the Sony at least a listen. Comparable subs by Velodyne and others were far more expensive (double the cost of the Sony or more). Listening to the Sony at the stereo shop, I must say that I was extremely impressed. Is the Sony sound as good as the Velodyne or other high end subwoofers that cost 2-3 times as much as the Sony? Of course not, but I quickly discovered that difference in sound quality was not at all closely related to the difference in price.Keep in mind that this is one of Sony's smallest and lightest subs (only 25 lbs), but once I brought it home and hooked it up to my 6.1 surround system and configured the frequency and volume on the back of the sub, it seamlessly expanded the low end range of my system for music and movie playback. Before I learned (by experimenting with them) how to adjust the levels on the back of the sub, it was quite boomy and there was a bit of a gap between the low end on the six surround speakers and where the sub picked up. When I made the appropriate adjustments, by trial and error, I found that this sub is an extremely versatile fit for my home. My family room is 17'x14', and the back opens into a 10'x15' living room, and the sub easily fills the room. When I crank the system for rock and roll music and movies, the sub has no problem keeping up and is easily capable of playing more loudly than is safe or enjoyable.Would I have liked a bigger sub made by a better brand? Sure, but this one does the job (and then some) admirably, and for less than half the cost. This sub gets 4 stars as a product, but I gave it 5 because of the extremely good value. If you have a big budget and can afford to spend what it would take to buy a speaker that actually sounds better than one of these Sony subs, go for it, you will not be disappointed. On the other hand, if you would rather spend less on a sub and still get excellent power and sound quality, this is as good as it gets without spending several hundred dollars.

5A great ".1" - Almost Overkill
By TechTurk
This piece completes my 5.1 system, all Sony. This thing can overpower the rest of the system, but sounds GREAT once it's dialed in. Power saver feature and active adjustable amp and crossover are key. I'm using the sub input with the amp set to about 2/3 and the crossover blocking some of the higher frequencies from coming through it. Music is great, movies are even better.

4MONSTER BASS!!!
By Matthew Vierling
Just so you know. . . my home theater system includes: a Sony 51-inch WEGA high-definition TV, a Sony STR-DG910 7.1-channel home theater receiver, a Sony DVP-NS77H upscaling DVD player, a pair of Sony SSF-5000 floor speakers, one Sony SSC-N5000 center channel speaker, one Sony SA-W2500 150-watt subwoofer, and a pair of Sony SSB-1000 bookshelf speakers for the surrounds. Everything is Sony. Everything works with one remote control, which came with the receiver. (My review is based on these components being used together, which is why I'm including all this info.)The Sony SA-W2500 subwoofer has excellent low-frequency performance and was extremely easy to set up - one RCA jack cable from my receiver to the sub, then plug it in to a wall socket. Presto!!! It's fairly small in size for a sub. The box seems well-constructed and robust, and it's not inordinately heavy. My only complaint is that there is a rattle somewhere in the subwoofer box at certain frequencies, and I can't find it - very annoying - but I will track it down eventually, I hope. Focusing in the right amount of bass took some time as I listened to several movies while adjusting the crossover and volume settings, tweaking the bass EQ on my receiver, and also moving the sub around the room to different locations. But the final results were definitely worth the time. No distortion (just that rattle). Fat low-end sound that you can feel. My neighbors are probably ticked off. Plenty of power for a small or medium-size living room. Great for the price! Four stars because of that pesky rattle, otherwise this would be the perfect subwoofer for a small or moderate home theater system. Matches all my other Sony speakers. I hope this review helps you.

5The big dog on the block.
By P. Taylor
I bought this for my Remington 700 VTR 22-250. Quick and easy mounting with quality rings. I did a mechanical zero and I was on the paper at 50 and 100 yards. Once I sighted it in for 100 I moved to 150, adjusted and then settled on 200 for a perfect zero. After a year of shooting it is still holding that same spot. The scope comes with 3 sizes of turrets, I like the small ones, but the large tactical ones look really good. Every time I get it out other people stop and gawk at the scope and everyone who shoots it loves the clarity. One of the guys was reading the Gatorade nutrition facts off our targets at 100 yards. I was able to hit consistently at 300 yards. At first I thought the fine cross-hair was too fine, but once you get to 200+ anything else would be too big. I bought it directly from Amazon and it arrived in perfect condition.

5A great scope for a great price.
By Whiskey Hound
I put this scope on my Remington Model 700 chambered in Rem. 7mm Mag with a picatiny rail and Leupold medium rings. Zeroed at 300 yards and its dead on. Nikon makes great optics at a fraction of the price with a great warranty and customer service that is second to none.

5Perfect!
By Val E. Washington
I have no place to hang a rack from the ceiling without it being in the way and I have very little wall space. I took a chance on this rack thinking it would be too small to be practical. It fits beautifully and unobtrusively in my kitchen and I can hang all the pots that I normally use and more! It is also very sturdy and attractive - I love it!.

This chair arrived and I was in it within 15 mins and it enables me to move almost everywhere, even tight places. The only enhancement I would like to have is bearings on the seat stem to make it easier to turn the seat. Other than that, it is excellent!

5Nikon Monarch Riflescope
By Sniper
I have used several scopes Leupold, Redfield, Burris and NONE have matched this scope for its clairity and functionality. NIKON GLASS is superior. I have tested it in extremely hot conditions and the rain and so far no problems with fogging. I love varmit shooting and this scope is PERFECT for that. I priced this scope in several places and as you can see, I purchased it here. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

5Excellent compromise for Varmit Gun
By neilm
I bought my first .223 rifle and after much research, debate, and thought finally opted for this scope from Amazon which was $100 less than other websites. I'm very happy with my decision. My criteria was to see a 22 caliber hole at 100 yards from a benchrest and yet light enough to shoot offhand and carry around. This is the best compromise of those requirements. Very few other scopes can do that. Yes, I can see 22 cal holes at 100 yards if the light is good even in the black. In bad light I have a difficult time seeing the bullet holes in the black. White is ok. I now print out my own targets on bright white paper with less black for the bullseye. The focus is very easy. I don't see a need for a large wheel. The yardage on the SF seems to be off so you really can't use it as a rangefinder without recalibration. All the clicks are crisp and the caps keep everything in place. I have not tried either of the two sets of dials that came with the scope yet as the smaller ones seem to work fine. The clarity is excellent in good light. I can easily see the 10 ring at 100 yards. At low light it's a little dark at 20 power but I expected that. Backing off on the power fixes that problem. If I were primarily benchrest shooting I would get a larger scope like the 8-32 just so I could see the bullet holes at 200 yards. Nikoplex works fine. Perhaps a dot would be better for targets.

By bad_taters
i researched many scopes before buying this Nikon.I did side by side comparisons in particular with Leupold at Cabelas and Gander mountain and the level of quality and clarity for the money made this purchase a no brainer. In my opinion Nikon offers the most for the least.Thier optics are crisp and right out of the box at 250 yards I had no issues with parallax.Scope is mounted on a Savage 243.

5Sharp, bright upper-mid range scope
By R. See
Many moons ago, when I picked up a camera and began to get serious, it was a Canon AE. (Remember film?) I didn't critically examine cameras; I was talked into a model by a salesperson. Nikon became "the other" almost by default. (I own a Canon 7D today.) That might help a reader to understand that I'm far from being a "Nikon shill". But Canon doesn't make scopes. So, knowing something about lenses from photography, I looked at scopes a little differently than I might have otherwise. Over the years I've owned dozens and by many makers. I found that some brands just won't go well with my eyes (diopter; parallax) despite having good glass. My eyes are now older and appreciate the help with great light transmission, clarity, forgiving parallax, a diopter with some room for adjustment, and a clear reticle. I like positive action/feel on the adjustment devices, durability, usability (non-fogging, decent eye relief...) and protection on my investment (waterproof, well-constructed...). I couldn't be happier with this Monarch, as well as the others that I own, in these respects. You will SEE the difference between a Monarch and Nikon Prostaff (their lower end product) if you open both and use them like a pair of binoculars (a test I perform to help me rate my current and potential optics). You can move your eye left-right and notice how easily parallax occurs in some other scopes compared to this one.I own a couple of Zeiss models and would compare this scope positively to my Conquest (40mm objective) while saying that they're very similar. I think that's a compliment to the Monarch. I got this one as an Amazon Warehouse deal and paid half what I paid for the Zeiss. (I love the Zeiss for the Rapid Z reticle, though. I'm not as big a fan of the Nikon BDC with its similarity to a turkey reticle. I own one, but it's on a shotgun and I don't like how it can appear when framing a shot. Just personal taste, though.)Having poured syrup-like love all over this Nikon, I would also like to consider an alternative product: what an outstanding value I find Hawke Eclipse scopes to be! I saw them first at a local dealer a couple of years ago. If you are considering a lit reticle then you really should look at the Hawke. Their mildot scopes are a fraction of the cost of most (Millet excepted) and perform far above their price points. I held a comparable Hawke up to this Monarch as I described above. I read text at 75 yards, discriminated parallel lines running at a 45-degree angle away at the same distance, and viewed a color blindness test at about 100 yards. I found the Hawke to be as good as the Monarch. I have not hunted with a Hawke enough to know if it will have the durability of the Monarch, but the dealer is reporting very high satisfaction from customers and does not carry other lower end scopes because of negative feedback. Here is a Hawke (one of the few that I own) with a 50mm objective for what I paid for the Warehouse deal: Hawke Sport Optics Eclipse 4-16x50AO Rifle Scope, Illuminated Mil-Dot Reticle, 1/4 MOA, 30mm Tube. You may find it a compelling value. I am not trying to push a Hawke in a Nikon Monarch review. I just want to note that there are comparable products and I find that relatively few scope purchasers are familiar with Hawke. But I would not fault the person who loves the Nikon Monarch series and purchases them exclusively. They cost less than Zeiss (about the same retail to retail with both having the Nicoplex/Reticle 20 near-twins but Nikons can be found at "deal" prices much more easily than Zeiss) and, at least in this model, are very similar in quality. I hope this helps...

5Awesome
By Will Rutledge
Beautifully clear and powerful optic, built like a tank, holds zero like a champ, zoom range covers most hunting situations. Holds up under brisk recoil.Paired with a Weatherby .25-06, you get the swiss army knife of hunting rifles.

5Excellent
By dwdw3
Crystal clear at all magnifications. Very happy. For the price I don't think there is a better deal out there than the Nikon Monarchs.Update: Shot 100+ rounds of 30-06 at the range this summer using this scope. Not a single issue whatsoever. Any time adjustments are made on the turrets, the response is very accurate. Still lovin' it.

5DEEP value
By L. Harvey
this is exactly what all the previous reviews said it was......a truly deep value for money. the bass is as deep as could be without noticeable distortion and it is clean looking enough to pass the wife's scrutiny. i am a music buff and i find the bass production to be just as good as the very, very good sony sf 6000 front speakers i use. however the big advantage with this unit is when watching movies.....5.1, 3.1 or 2.1, the bass is way deeper than you can get with the big front speakers. the difference is really dramatic, even to a new comer's ears.it should be also noted that the unit DOES have an auto off function (not described on Amazon) which can be disabled at the back. this is great, except when actually watching a movie because it shuts of within 5 mins if it does not receive a low bass signal from the amps, so during dialogue it sleeps in low power and then has a delayed restart when the bass returns.i use my sub in a large room and you really have to crank the power up, close to max, to be truly impressed. so i think maybe the bigger rooms need the bigger 15" sub, but i have not compared it to be sure but it is worrisome to operate so close to max, even if it is sweet to the ears. if you have a medium or smaller room you should be overwhelmed.anyway, i am certain that you cannot find a sub with similar specs and great reviews anywhere near this price so i urge you........ENJOY!!!

5Finishing touch for your budget AV system!!! "daddyO702"
By Oliver
For the past 10 years I have owned a Sony Home Theater in a Box kind of setup sufficing to say I'm not much hard to please for home entertainment (had a quick review bout here too @ Epinions). Three years ago I paired the same Sony HTIB with a 37" LG LCD TV and it was good. Can see the movie, "hear" the movie and go watch the next movie.Guess now things have changed, a lot. Electronics are much more affordable with a considerable amount of difference. Like this Sony SA-W3000 for example. As a regular Joe Shmoe audiophile wannabe dude, I did my only way of randomly testing this sub, of course, at your local electronics depot (blue shirt, khaki pants guys). It wasn't even very accurate the fact that I tested it's lower model sibling, the SA-W2500 which is rated 100 with 60 watts RMS.Most of us are familiar with their setup with all the buttons you push pairing different speakers and subs trying to win your heart on what they can do. So push I did and I got me a show from all them big ballers like Polk, Mirage, Definitive Techs, Klipsch to a Martin Logan, and the little dude on the corner, with the lowest price tag, being scorned upon, even lucky to be on such a line up actually held its own. Not as tight, not as solid, but enough oomph and rumble. Maybe its the rumble, maybe it's my untrained ears but for the value price point of this sub, it feels like I would not go wrong a step up difference of $50.00 to it's bigger brother, the Sony SA-W3000 which is rated 180 watts. And wow was I impressed! Let me reiterate the Joe Shmoe wannabe part once again! I like what I hear though and for the most part, I really believe a lot of people might agree. Took me a good day or two to fine tune to my liking for music and movie alike. To appreciate the bass, I had to torture test it from Bad English to Bob Marley with even some Beyonce' (hehe). Musicality is not it's greatest strength as it would have variations of bass output on different genres of music but totally acceptable for the most part. I sometimes have to turn the gain switch a bit lower from music to movies. For Home Theater applications, I finally get to "feel" the movie, not just hear it. I would play back certain movies over and over on certain parts just to appreciate the bass, like the movie's Heat, Matrix, Jurassic Park and the all classic Top Gun to few of my own personal favorites.Aesthically nice with a very imposing 12" subwoofer with thick, hefty rubber surround on the edges giving it a solid look. A nice black wood grain/veneer finish on the cabinet, which also is constructed pretty good. Got a couple of adjustments for volume and cutoff for the personal choice of your low end and even a phase reverse switch to configure with how your sub reacts with your front speakers. I find the "normal" position having a tighter bass response with my SS-F7000's and the SS-CN5000. There is also a switchable power save mode which wasn't really too "click" happy as others have noted for it to be bothersome. For me anyway.Couple of gripes I have is the plastic part where the built in amplifier is hidden. Looks flimsy but tougher than it looks. The rubber pads that came with it is a joke. You would look at the size of this 12" sub with the rubber pad being about the size of a Micro SD card. It's almost like it was some sort of an after thought to include them. This is where Sony went cheap. Good thing I have saved some screw in type legs that belongs to the TV stand. Little drilling in under corner of the sub, a bit of super glue and voila! Form, fit and function. This Sony SA-W3000 floats my boat and fills the bill for an awesome budget sub for your system. You'll actually get a chance to enjoy the difference of having a dedicated subwoofer even just on an entry level system with a not so entry level bass box thanks to Sony. It does give sound more depth and an impression that will change how you listen and feel about your movies and music. And as Thomas Paine might have quoted, "that which we obtain too easily, we esteem too lightly", but this my friends, in my own humble opinion, is an exception.

5super sub
By William H. Taylor
This sub suprisingly performs better than I expected. The easy of installing and variable frequency adjustment work with easy. Sounds great for the money invested. I have purchased high end subs, in the $2000.00 range and though there are noticeable differences, this sub is great bang for little bucks.

5Life changing...
By Photojoe
I have my go-go for over one year and it is great. I have very bad arthritis and could not enjoy my hobby of photographing wild birds. With my gogo I can go to parks, bird reserves, and other areas as long as the paths are hard covered...I recommend my go-go to everyone who wants to get out and ... go.Photojoe544
