I was at work, getting a cup o java at the community pot, when a guy was walking away with his. I caught a lingering whiff of his cologne and couldn't help myself, blurting out "Wow, you smell good! What are you wearing?" He smiled and replied "R.S.V.P. by Kenneth Cole". I responded "Thanks, I know what to get my boyfriend for Christmas!" Not only is he in serious need of a frangrance makeover, but this is a definite gift for me too. It's been quite a while since I've had that kind of reaction to a man's cologne :)

Sleeper Offering Relative to Most Popular LCDS

I was tending towards getting a smaller Samsung LCD to complement the 46" model I now have when I came across this Panasonic unit. What a surprise to find not only did it have an even brighter, crisper picture, but it also had a decent set of speakers and some unique features lacking in the Samsung and Sony models. These features include an automatic shutoff option if the remote hasn't been used for 90 minutes - a handy feature if you fall asleep while watching or have kids who leave the tv on. In addition, if signal is lost or a component feeding the unit is shut off, this tv automatically turns itself off after a period of time. Also it has a black adjustment setting which provides the pitch black typical of Sharp models, or optionally a lighter black which better shows detail in darker areas like Sony and Samsung offer, if that is what you prefer. The unique lighting source gets rid of the buzz other reviewers have complained about in some smaller Samsung sets. Getting back to the speakers - having a decent pair is critical for smaller sets where you likely wont be using a stand alone set of speakers. The Samsung speakers tend to be marginal in their smaller sets. Perhaps the only drawback I saw to this unit was the design. Clearly not as striking as the Samsung or even Sony. However, the construction is solid and it has a decent traditional look. And for a price lower than Samsung or Sony, it is a steal. Seems as though Panasonic - well know for its quality plasma sets - is finally getting serious about becoming a major player in the LCD arena. I love my 46" LCD Samsung, but this is clearly the best choice and value for a smaller LCD.

Panasonic 32" LX70

I love this TV! I've had it for about 3 weeks now, and I'm so happy I went with this model and brand. First of all, I really like the Panasonic company. They actually have a customer service department! (With real people! In this country!) Other than that, the picture is great. It's really just as good as, or almost as good as, a Sony or Samsung, and certainly better than any other brand. And the price is significantly less than other name-brands. They say that 720p looks as good as 1080p at this size. No channels broadcast at higher than 720p or 1080i anyway, both of which this TV supports. My recommendation is to not waste your money on 1080p unless you get a bigger TV than this, and plan to hook up a HD DVD or Blu-ray player otherwise you will never see the difference. Except in your wallet.I was close to buying a Sharp, actually, until I read all the reviews that say that standard definition channels look TERRIBLE on the Sharp. Then I went into a store to compare and you can really see the difference when SD commercials came on. The vast majority of my channels are SD, so that was important. I don't have a HD DVD or Blu-ray, but the picture from my progressive-scan DVD player is incredible. One last thing: the sound is really good for a TV. I usually hook it up to my stereo, but it's surprisingly good on its own.So if you are waffling between a few different TVs and this is one of them, I don't think you'd be disappointed AT ALL if you settled on this one. Buy it!

Excellent TV

I bought this TV for two reasons: One was that I had decided Panasonic had the best picture in the stores where I had seen it and the other was that I have only an outside antenna and a reviewer said his worked great on a simple antenna. He was right and I am extremely pleased with this TV. Almost looks like 3-D on my best stations.

Curses on those twisties!

I admit, I didn't know she was supposed to talk when I first bought her, and pressing her left hand, I got quite a giggle at her stereotypical squeaky, girly voice that I think is saying, "Shining starfish! You bet your wish will come true!" After wrestling with the box and twisties that seem to have melted together with soon-to-be sore fingers and heavy-duty scissors to get the doll and items out, I had to take her hair out. On the box it looks lovely and voluminous, but I found, after I cut her hair out of the plastic bands and hairnet very carefully, I had to brush it! What is this nonsense?!I thought she came with one saying (above), but found she does say more than that by switching the switch on her bum from "demo" to "on" (I guess you can cheat her into always saying your wishes will come true!). Her right hand tells you to make a wish.Her body is hard and not very flexible, and she sits in a very awkward position with both her legs almost completely out to her sides like she's doing splits. Her hands don't move, even though they look as if they should (because of the wires to make her talk, they glued her wrists), but she moves her arms at the shoulders and her head can turn.Her face looks a bit narrower than the commercial pictures, which is less cute, and her outfit seems to be made of cheap material.When removing her fin-like skirt, she's wearing a bathing suit. With nothing on, she looks plain silly. And the holes in her chest for the speaker form what I can only assume is an attempt at a heart. She sports a cute little pink crown atop her head, with three sea shells that light up when she speaks.She comes with sunglasses, a shovel and pale, and a sand castle. The sunglasses are cute, with pink tinted lenses, but they don't reach all the way behind her ears and seem rather cheap. They do seem to stay on her face okay though.The sand castle is also very cute, but I'm not sure what the big blue thing with starfish attached to it is supposed to be (it's attached to the sand castle's platform). Perhaps a wave?The shovel and pale are probably my favourite of her little items. The bucket is purple with a seaweed strap (hard), and the shovel looks as if it's supposed to be made of seaweed as well, with a purple shell on the end of the handle.What's quite lovely about this all is that, once you've won the war against the box and twisties, there isn't anything that needs to be assembled, so she's ready to go right away. A nice nap together next is in order, I think. It was hard work to get her out!Despite the doll's faults, she's adorable. If you're buying this for a child, and she (or he!) has no problem with the fact that she can't sit properly, I'm sure (s)he will love this Ariel doll. You may not if your child keeps pressing the buttons though (it's quite loud), but all you have to do is turn her "OFF" or take the batteries out (three AAA).

Only the best

First of all, be forewarned that this is Giottos' largest ball head. It is large and heavy. But, that is exactly what I was looking for. I reviewed other ball heads manufactured by others - some were more expensive and some were less expensive, but I kept coming back to Giottos. This is the first "high quality" ball head I have purchased. My amateur photography equipment had been limited to Slik in the past. Slik makes good products, but this Giottos is above and beyond. It's construction is remarkable - I know it will be all that I need. It is rugged...it is beautiful. I would highly recommend this product to anyone. I am sold on Giottos and will make them my manufacturer of choice when it comes to photography equipment.

For many years I had been planning to purchase a "decent" tripod and ballhead to replace two tripods that I have owned for decades. Both of my existing tripods are very lightweight and flimsy and I always fear that the slightest bump may send my expensive equipment crashing to the ground.I received the MH3300-658 along with a Giottos MTL9271B Classic 3-Section Aluminum Tripod with Flip Leg Locks. I had planned on either a Really Right Stuff or a Markins ballhead, but the Giottos was well under half the price of the others and I had heard good things about it.So far, after one very long day at a wedding, I am happy to say that I am very pleased with this purchase. The MH3300 is HUGE! It is much larger and heavier than I thought it would be, but this is OK with me because it is also very smooth. The machining is excellent with no burrs or sharp edges. The knobs are much larger than I thought they would be and are very easy to adjust. The friction control works flawlessly, even with my 70-200mm f/2.8 attached to the camera body.I could describe more, but I guess that the main points are that it is larger and heavier than I had thought and that it is very strong, very smooth to operate and very well machined. I am very pleasantly surprised at the quality I bought for much less than I had planned on spending.

I've been buying Chippewa for years. I was very happy to find this style. For some reason it is never sold at retail stores. I think it may be because they are not insulated but I prefer that for summer wear. For me the combination of excellent construction and being cool and breathable they are the best boot.

Chippewa street warrior 6" boots

These boots are great. I wear them on concrete floor all day and, they are very supportive and comfortable. They are probably the best looking boots I've seen too. The leather is thick and the sole is replaceable. Buy an American made boot you won't disappointed stay away from the chinese imposters!

Very cute lamp but be CAREFUL if you order a set!

Dale Tiffany 7342/533 Morning Star Table Mini Table Lamp:Very cute lamps and very small which is exactly what I wanted. I bought a set for my standard size upright piano and they look great sitting on each end of the piano top. However, if you want to order more than one of these lamps be CAREFUL!! My order of the set came in two shipments and I ended up with two completely different bases in two completely different colors. Also, the glass on each shade was not made from the same lots so the colors are quite a bit different. I'm still happy with them but would have been happier if they actually matched. Just make sure that they come in ONE SHIPMENT. If they don't cancel your order and wait to buy them until you see that they'll be shipped together.

Not worth the money!

I'm very disappointed with this lamp. The description states that the shade is "Art Glass", but it is plastic, and there were chips and scratches on the plastic shade. The Knurl Nut (shade post) screwed out of the Harp (shade holder) the first time I detached the shade. The lamp is made in China; not stated in the description. I paid $79.20; not worth it.

Elegant And Slightly Dainty

I really like this product. It looks very classy. The one thing you need to be aware is that it is smaller than your standard mini lamp. Very high quality design and materials. Feels light yet very sturdy. The art glass shade is beautiful and it looks great on a small mail stand in my foyer. I am actually going to order 2 more for my den tables because they are very pretty, provide a nice source of light and take up very little space. Def recommend if you are looking for a compact and elegant lamp for your home or office.

Beautiful solid miniature lamp for desk or table

I will start with my only con. The color of the panes on the edges of the lamp that I received is a quite bit darker blue and not the very pale blue pictured so minus 1 star. When lit the color lightens, however. Overall, very beautiful coloring and design regardless, and many kudos and thx to the lady who labored in China for her artistry and capturing the aura of peace and tranquility. The base is very solid and detailed. The item was received quickly and safely although the styrofoam was not taped together well. The lamp is small in stature and keep that in mind for the location intended, but I plan to buy a few more in different varieties. It does not bother me in the least that I did not spend $1500 for a Tiffany lamp and the glass is perfect...ignore the comment about cheap plastic...not so, and more likey a sign of inner negativity.

A great little housing

Sony Cybershot DSCW200 12MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom and Super Steady ShotI got this housing to go with the Sony DSC W200 Camera (see my review on the camera) about 3 weeks ago.The housing is really compact and every feature on the camera can be accessed while its in the housing. You can do anything underwater (or otherwise wet environments) that you can do with the camera in your living room. That is a powerful plus in my book.The housing is well made. When you press a button the camera responds. That should be the expected response but isn't always the case with some housings. The cam type latch has locking buttons that you have to press to open the housing so you don't accidently flip it open at an inopportune time. It comes with a spare "O" ring and grease (they say to use only their grease) and instruction booklets. The booklets are OK, not great.I have used the camera in water in the housing on one occasion and I was completely happy with it. I also took photos in the housing before having the chance to get in the water with it. It's very easy to use, pretty much do everything the same way as when the camera is not in the housing.These factory produced housings are a fraction of the cost of aftermarket housings and work very well.After the huge, heavy aftermarket setup for my old Sony F707, this compact little package is a real joy. I'm very happy with it.

Sony Waterproof Camera case

The mpk-wb marine pack by sony works very well. It does not work on all W Series digital cameras, specifically not the DSC-W100. I know this because we have that camera and the DSC-W90. The W100 is an older model and is to thick to fit in the case. We specifically used it for snorkeling on our Hawaii trip. It seals perfectly, but we did not test it to the 135 foot depth it claims it can go. The pictures were good, but it would have been nice is they gave the under water filter with it that makes water shots for blue and vivid. I was very happy with it and the pictures and it allowed for switching to video mode. Actually allowed for the use of all camera functions.

Sony marine pack

We used the marine pack on a trip to Costa Rica. It worked amazingly well. The individual buttons allow you to use all the cameras functions. In some ways it makes it easier than using the camera on its own. It took great underwater picures and protected the camera completely. Getting it from Amazon saved over $50 and there was no tax or shipping. I would recommend it to anyone.
