great filter

The only downside from thus new filter is that it has 1.5 in pipe connections. The exact older model was 2 inches so I had to repipe with reducers.

I had a DE filter for more than 15 years which always did a wonderful job on my 10,000 gallon in-ground pool. The only thing that I did not like was cleaning the DE filter. I decided to replace the DE filter with this paper filter and I am extremely happy with the results. My water is always sparkling clear, just like it was with the DE filter, but it is so much easier to clean. The C1200 is larger than I need for my pool but by cleaning the filter prior to being completely loaded the current draw on my pool pump is reduced thereby saving me money on my electric bill.This filter came with one paper filter installed, and I purchased two more replacement filters. I am rotating the filters on every cleaning so I always have a clean dry filter to install. This process works very well for me.I strongly recommend this filter.
