A shabby product from a shady company

I purchased this hat last summer. Within 2 days after recieving the hat it began unraveling and the brim started to fall apart. I complained to the merchant that I purchased it from and was told it was a manufacturer issue and I had to contact shady brady directly which I did. I went as far as mailing the hat back to shady brady to have it replaced at which time it was mailed back to me saying that the hat was exhibiting reasonable product wear. The hat is so poorly constructed you are lucky if you get 2-3 days wear out of it before the hat falls apart on you. I have since reported shady brady to the better business bureau of California ( where the company is located)for false advertising because the ad for the hat states it is indestructible and can be balled up and it will pop right back into shape.

Great Hat

I bought this hat (slightly different model) about 5-6 years ago after reading a Wall Street Journal article on various hats on the market. Mine has been rolled up and put into my suitcase, sat/stepped on (it bounces right back), and generally used as a work hat. I try not to abuse it, but I do use it for sun protection when working in the yard and when hiking. It has held up well during the years. It is just now starting to show some slight signs of age, but I "reckon I will git" another 3-4 years out of it. I will be buying a second one when this one needs to be put out to pasture.

We met the folks from Rodeo Beach at a motorcycle show in Panama City Beach. We bought our first shady brady hat from them as they explained this hat would pack up and fit well into our saddle bags. Not only does this hat keep me safe from the sun, it keeps it shape and is just beautiful! Buy this hat and wear it often!
