A cool place to keep stuff
By Michelangelo Flores
I work in the TV-Film industry, and typically wear a tool belt and keep a couple of ditty bags handy. This item is useful for keeping some of the smaller vital tools within reach at all times, and frees up space in the other bags for larger tools. I've only field tested it once, and had a little difficulty groping for the zippers and fasteners, but I imagine that I will get the hang of it. So far, I've only used the dual underarm holster configuration, which gives me the feeling of being hugged by my many gadgets. People already comment that I look like Snake Pliskin in my production garb, and this item only further enhances the urban-commando look. I like the fact that the item keeps the waist line clear. It eliminates the fear that something has tipped or snagged and fallen off my belt when entering and exiting vehicles or tight spaces. I couldn't ride a bicycle with my tool belt on, but I could with this item.I wish that the pockets were about 5 to 10-percent larger, in order to better accommodate my Surefire U2 Ultra and a couple of larger pen-like gizmos that I'd like to have on me. I will probably purchase the accessory harness for those long days on the set. Although the price was a bit steep, the item is well-constructed and I expect that it will survive many scrapes while protecting my devices.

Great equipment.
By DirtyJoe
This thing's great, with a lot of smaller pockets, dividers and organizers included to really let you set it up the way you want. I own several items from Civilian Labs and the one thing every one of them has in common is extreme flexibility in how it can be used. While they may be a bit pricey, you certainly get what you pay for from them and since these can be used in so many different ways, its like getting several products in one. Everything is made very well and my friends and I have examined how they are designed down to the types of stitching, etc, in the items and are always impressed by how they're built - which is the right way for long term demanding use. The innovation in their products and adapting military-style technology over to civilian applications while maintaining hard-use production standards has resulted in some really good gear that doesn't make it look like you're a surplus-shop junkie but lets you carry what you want how you want. I'm always excited to see what they come up with next.

I ordered this pack in the hope it would be usable for mountain biking, Hiking and adventuring. It works perfectly. It stays put mountain biking and even trail scrambling. It fits nicely under my camelbak MULE and adds the perfect amount of extra room for essentials and some crash padding plus I can configure the pack contents as needed ie. work pack to hold medical gear to mtb'ing to hiking, traveling, touring... let your imagination make it work for you. Great accessory, Hope it holds up for a hundred bucks!
