Bought this item four years ago. I will grab this before I grab the pc trimmer. The round base on the trimmer gives you much better stability. I like to train new employees with this trimmer. The more you use the filer tool, you will find that the tedious process of getting it just right to the thickness of Wilson Art, Pionite, Formica (vertical or horizontal), will take time. You will save shop hours on larger projects. Or, you could let your metal file collect dust, so you don't have to.
