The best hat

I bought this hat last year to replace my go-to hat which was put through the wringer, literally. I wear hats when I am in the sun always. I purchased my first Shady Brady hat in Evergreen, Colorado almost 20 years ago. It stood up to a lot of abuse like backpacking in Colorado and Belize, trips to Florida, Panama, Curacao, Costa Rica and Aruba. It was stuffed in a car and a suitcase and yet I still got more compliments on that hat than any other, and still do. Even though I bought this new one, I still wear the old one which now got a small hole in it after I decided to try and wash it. There was a rust spot behind the decorative medallion and I tried using a soft brush to scrub it out. I just let it dry on a form to keep its shape, and once it was dry, I applied a drop of Elmer's glue and it isn't noticeable at all. It still fits great. I like the chin strap so it doesn't fly off in the wind, or I can just flip it off my head and let it hang down my back so I don't have to carry it around when my hands are full.I had hoped to find the exact duplicate but they don't make mine anymore. This one looks like a real Cowboy hat while my other one was a cross between that and a Panama hat. It was supple, whereas this one has been sized with a lot of stiffener to keep its shape. I buy these hats because I like the size options. I wear a small hat and the stores mostly sell a "one size fits most" and they are always to large for my head.I have a third one which I got from my Mom who passed away almost three years ago. She died at 95 years old and used to wear her hat when she visited Branson and Las Vegas, when she was in her 70's and 80's. It is a much fancier hat with a leather hat band inside. Mine has a cloth band. I like hats with a band inside because it keeps your head from getting scratched and keeps the straw clean from my makeup.The company has excellent customer service and delivery was very quick. I will purchase another hat from them at some point in the future. I recommend these hats highly. They have one for every budget.

If you're a guy, and you're thinking about getting this hat - do it. The simple design is sleek, simple and unique. Great fit, and great look. It's the kind of thing Jim Morrison would've worn in France, in his final phase. Western enough feel, classic America, without being too cowboy. Just slyly rugged and outdoorsy. Great, great hat at a very good price. Timeless piece for both men and women. Great for guys. Great hat.
