Solid quality

Really like this set and seems every bit as good as the more expensive equivalent. Better than that, it has longer cable length to the battery which makes it much easier to install in a good place on my large truck. The cable clamps are very durable and heavy duty. Great all around!

I purchased this to install on my 2012 Jeep Wrangler. I have wanted to do a setup like this for years and on my last 3 SUV's but money and such has prevented me. Got a new car and now was the time to do it. The cables are high quality, and the wire is heavy duty. I have not had need to use them yet, but I cant wait to do it. I changed out the ends on the wires to genuine Anderson brand plugs mostly because I wanted the one on the Jeep to be black not blue and the one on the other end to be red (entirely cosmetic) I also purchased boots for the Anderson plugs to keep debris out of them. This is highly recommended as well as di-electric grease.The clips on the cables are substantial and nice quality.I cant wait to try these out and heading into winter, I'm sure I'll have the opportunity soon enough.

Nice quality for a fair price

Like the previous reviewer, I too was looking for 2 GA jumpers for my diesel service truck. I couldn't bring myself to shell out almost $300 for jumpers so I settled for this set in 4 GA. Being part of a family farm, I am quite often jumping tractors, semi trucks, and other heavy equipment so I wanted the lowest gauge, longest, and 100% copper conductor cables I could get without taking out a small loan.After shopping around online, this was the best deal I found. There are similar cables by other more well known companies for around $150, but the longest I could find was 20 ft. I really wanted 25 ft and ATD was the only company offering them. Although this is a lesser known brand, the quality matches that of others and clearly they are 100% copper conductors. The connector is probably an andersen power pole or similar knock off, although there is no name on it I can find. And not shown in the picture but included in the package is the dust cap to cover the end which stays permanently mounted on the truck.A hardware kit is included with 2 sets of screws, and adapters to connect to a side terminal battery. This hardware kit is where my only negative comment lies and the reason for a 4 star rating instead of 5. Two sets of machine screws with nylock nuts are included, however neither set is really the proper size. The smaller diameter screws are undersized and the heads do not fit into the corresponding hex cutouts in the connector. These cutouts are designed to capture the bolt head head and prevent it from turning during installation, allowing the user to only need one wrench to turn the nylock nut, instead of needing to hold both the bolt and the nut. The larger diameter screws were over-sized and would not fit through the hole molded in the connector and I was not about to drill the holes out on something that just arrived on my door step. I could have gone to the hardware store to find the proper size screws, however I settled for using the smaller diameter screws and 2 wrenches for installation. Don't take this comment that the screws are inadequate as they fasten the connector to the truck just fine, it was just an inconvenience during installation.I also purchased a Bucket Boss 06009 Jumper Cable Bag from Amazon with this order. They already have highly rated reviews, but I was worried that 25 ft of 4 GA and the big clamps would fit. These cables fit just fine in the bag however.I have not jumped anything yet as I just installed this kit last night, but I'm satisfied with my purchase and I look forward to years of use from this product.
