Product Description
The easiest and quickest way there is to go from sweet acoustic tones to screaming electric leads - and everything in between! If you've ever wished for screaming electric and sweet acoustic tones in one single guitar, this perfect blend is now possible with the new Michael Kelly Hybrid guitars. The Hybrids are the perfect stage and studio instruments because they instantly switch from full acoustic guitar tone to a ripping electric tone! Want more? The Hybrids can also BLEND both tones together for almost infinite tonal combinations - creating endless variations of a two-axe wall of sound attack! Dual Amp Capability If you are performing live with a Hybrid Special or using one in the studio you will love their dual amp capabilities! When using the Y cable that is included, the Hybrid sends out a signal from the acoustic pickup to one amp andthe electric signal to another. Of course nothing can reproduce an acoustic signal like a full range acoustic amp so this can really enhance your performance! You can also run directly into two channels on a mixing board for live or studio applications that will allow you to tailor the sound and maximize each tone. Don't have two amps or a mixing board? Don't worry. When you use a standard guitar cable on the Hybrid you get a single signal that you can plug into any amp. The amazing Hybrid gives you a vast array of tonal possibilities in a very simple to use format, while the Hybrid Special takes it all one step further with the addition of a second Rockfield SWC humbucker, coil tapping them and expanding the controls. Now there is a Michael Hybrid for any player!

Sounds Great And Easy To Play
By RobertH
I have been using my Michael Kelly hybrid guitar for the past 6 months and have kept my Gibson, Fender, and Carvin guitars in the closet (their strings are probably in need of changing by now).I "SORTA" like this guitar...I use a Hosa YPP117 1/4 TRS To Dual 1/4 Female Cable to connect the "electric" output to my Digitech 500 and the other, "Acoustic" output goes through a DI then to the sound board. I am very pleased with the sounds I am getting from both outputs. The electric output can scream or produce very mellow, deep sounding, jazzy tones with the neck pickup. The single coil "pull" option on the volume knob, provides a contrasting "attack" type tone which leans toward the sound of a Fender without the out of phase "quack".Except for the slightly narrower neck, finger picking feels and sounds very close to a regular acoustic - I guess I have adjusted over the past few months, because an acoustic guitar now feels bulky. If the acoustic sounds too harsh I can roll back the volume and the tone knobs a bit to make it sound more mellow. I am considering running the acoustic signal through some sort of processor. It took me a few months of learning curve, but now I really enjoy playing this guitar. The only con for me is that the neck is a bit heavy relative to the body.I have Elixir 10/46's on this fun to play guitar.I almost forgot, it is also very eye pleasing.
