It has been on the market for over 100 years, being featured in as early as the 1898 catalogue . The frame is made of titanium rails, and the antique brown leather seat features hand hammered copper rivets. The saddle weighs 410 grams.

Overall excellent quality. Superb construction. I wound up not using the saddle because it caused inner-leg pain. I later found out that that was due to the saddle being too wide (175 mm). Perhaps better for a low mileage touring bike rather than a high mileage road bike. Anyway, I reordered the Brooks Swift (150 mm version of the B17) and haven't had any further problems.

The Brooks B-17 Titanium saddle is the most comfortable bike saddle I have ever owned. From the moment you begin riding, the level of comfort is unbelievable. In theory there is a 'break-in' period. So, I must assume the seat will only become more comfortable as time goes by.
