Product Description
The LT17A is the classic style meter the boss calls the biggest Bang for the Buck. He's got a point. This manual ranger covers most of the parameters and ranges you need for most HVAC/R applications. The LT17A meter measures current, resistance, voltage, capacitance, frequency, continuity, and temperature. Test leads store in the meter body and, with the probe tips removed, connect the LT17A to Fieldpiece accessory heads. The body is made out of durable ABS plastic and comes with a bright blue backlight for poorly lit test areas. Get great accuracy using the included k-type thermocouple and an easily accessible temperature calibration pot.

Great Meter

I first saw this meter with a co-worker and i knew i must have it. I always keep a back up meter tho. But with this meter, 11 and 1 screwdriver, and pliers you can fix any HVAC unit. It tells temperature, MFD, amps, volts, etc. I dont use all the setting on it tho. So in my opinion it could have less setting for a HVAC Tech. But its everything you'll ever need. Bang for your buck. Excellent meter. I love it

I've owned two Lt17a models (1 stolen from me and the other dropped into a well). They're great tools for the HVAC/R tech at a great price. I have just purchased another as a back up to my fieldpiece HS36 stick meter.

Excellent Meter

I purchased this Fieldpiece LT-17A meter as a replacement for a 10 year old model of the same meter that is slowly surrendering to years of grit, dirt and bad weather. I wish that the new one had the rubberized jacket that the original LT-17 had, but overall I anticipate many years of good service from this one. It's a great meter for a field technician.
