Scanpans are great

I cook all the time and appreciate fine equipment. The scanpan line is in a class all by itself. The quality is comparable to my All-Clad pans and the non-stick really works and now I don't worry about the surface rubbing off and having to throw the pans away. I think of scanpan as calphalon that actually works.

hope the coating is safe, but who knows

I have used the pot for more than one year now. It does perform well, but recently I noticed the coating chipped off. I have not scratched it, because it has been used for boiling porridge. Now the inside bottom is not the color pure black. I hope what it has chipped off, was not toxic, - they were already gone into my body with the food.

Nice pan - not sure about the lid yet

This is a great every day pan but I was very surprised that the lid was so light (in weight). I would have thought with a pan this expensive the lid would have been a little more sturdy. There is not problem so far but I am really worried if I drop the lid it may bend?
