Enjoying the canopy
By C. Rifenberg
When you live in FL and have kids in sports, then a canopy is a MUST. I had purchased a canopy before, but took it to the beach too many times and the sand destroyed the legs. (Note: Do NOT take canopies to the beach! Buy a solid beach umbrella... you will thank me.)There are many canopies out there, but I purchased this one for the following reasons:1) Price: I didn't want/need a huge one, or top of the line.2) Side Wall: This is the only canopy that I saw that had the side wall included (at ANY price). This is huge because the sun is NEVER straight up. Now we can point the side-wall towards the sun and have more shade. Isn't that why you want a canopy in the first place? The fact that the side wall only partially comes down is nice too. You don't want to isolate yourself, just have some shade.3) Dome roof: A nice added feature that provides more headroom. Since heat rises, you are also cooler under this shade.Other benefits after using the canopy:1) Only 2 leg extensions: Our last one had three. Although this makes the carry-bag longer, but it is much easier to setup and take down.2) The click-lock mechanism is smooth. This could also be that it is new, but most people struggle with this part. The pull-pin doesn't stick.I read some other comments, and I have to say that this is NOT a canopy that becomes a permanent fixture in your back yard. It is designed for quick-and-easy setup and take down. If you are looking for a patio set, then go to Home Depot. I hope that didn't sound harsh... but it's all about having the right tool for the right purpose.Negatives:1) Doesn't have an air vent. This didn't affect my rating since I could not find any canopy with an air vent at the cheaper price range.2) The roof support beams are plastic. This could be a problem for some people since it could break more easily, but plastic is lighter. So this could actually be a positive. Either way, you do not see that the beams are plastic in any pictures since they are underneath the canopy.3) The carry-bag doesn't have any pockets. I don't know why they cheaped out here. Where are you supposed to put the stakes? Your back pocket? Really, how much does a pocket cost?Overall we are very happy with this canopy. I saw comments on the size... the size is fine for the average need. It does not appear small to others, although it is not a large canopy either. Large also means more $$$ and more weight to carry. I was debating on giving the rating a 4 because of the lack of pockets on the carry-bag, but left it as a 5 since I probably won't use the stakes anyway.

Disappointed with this product
By Avemck
I have owned E-Z' UP's in the past, and our last one lasted us about 4-5 years, with 3-4 month a year usage. The first one shipped without the rolling case for it, but Amazon quickly replaced that. This one is definatelynot the quality that previous E-Z UP's were. The cover for the top is already wearing where it "rubs" on thehardware that holds up the top. We were going to leave it over our patio, as we have down with our previousE-Z UP Products, but we have taken it down to avoid further wear, and are only putting it up when we have acook out etc. Its lighter than previous versions, and we set it up and even though it was "staked down" it endedup in the neighbors yard on a breezy day. For "light" usage it would probably be fine, but if your thinking of keepingit on your patio for the summer or heavier use, look for something heavier duty.

Beware - tarp is only 8x8, post foot print is 10x10
By drsmith751
It is very misleading but the tarp is only 8x8. Product works well, but feel mislead by the description. Comparing it o a friendss actual 10x10 tarp (his is labeled 12x12) that he bought at a sporting good chain for 2/3 the price, I saw no difference in quality between the two. The diference that the extra square footage makes is significant.
