these speakers are installed in my Jeep Wrangler and I've very pleased with them. They have GREAT SOUND. I would recommend them.

I'm glad I purchased these as part of my upgrade from the stock sound system. I bough them to replace the stock rear speakers in my 2004 Chevy Silverado Extended Cab. The Polk Audio DB461P plate speakers are efficient and sound great in my truck. Installation was a snap - remove the existing full range OEM speakers from the extended cab doors, line these up and mark the mounting holes with a Sharpie. Drill in using 3/4 inch self tapping sheet metal screws and hook up the wires and you're listening to music...I'm running an Alpine CDE-133BT head unit with the Alpine power pack amp that puts out 45 watts RMS per channel, and they handle it well. The volume goes up to 35 on the readout, but haven't had it over 25 and it is plenty loud and clear. Can't wait to hear how they sound after they burn in a bit. Also running the Polk Audio DB651S 6.5 inch speakers in the front and they are impressive too.Many people complain about no having enough bass, but you can improve it by laying down some dampener and foam to get better response from your speakers. Check out RaamAudio, Second Skin, or Dynamat and it WILL make a difference in your sound quality and bass response... but don't expect subwoofer performance out of 4x6 plates no matter what you do.

Polk Audio is an excellent product. I began with these 4x6 speakers and completed the picture with a 6.5" component set of the same series. Just a great sounding speaker.
