Product Description
The Fieldpiece Dual-Temperature Meter, model ST4, measures two temperatures simultaneously using the included k-type, wrap tab beaded thermocouples. The technology inside the ST4 provides superior temperature compensation in rapidly changing environments commonly found while performing field service. Use the ST4 to find Delta T and just about any temperature split you want to measure. Displays T1, T2 and T1-T2 in big numbers on the LCD screen. Features two front face calibration pots and comes in our clear front case with magnetic hanger model ANC6. Use with our optional ATWB1 wet bulb thermocouple to help you find target superheat or with our pipe clamp T/Cs to check for blocked dryer filters.

Fieldpiece ST4

I purchased this item for general HVAC use and it appears to be a decent value. Quality is good & unit is capable of the basic functions (i.e., dual-thermocouple inputs; Min/Max temperature sampling; temp. hold; 1 deg/0.1 deg. resolution). I calibrated unit using the two thermocouples included and it holds calibration OK. I later purchased two additional probe-type thermocouples. They matched within 0.2 deg. F. of the original units and required no recalibration.Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

I had previously order a cheap electronic thermometer for adjusting HVAC Freon levels and came to deeply regret it. Never got the same readings twice and never knew if the Freon was too much or too little.I've had none of those problems with this unit. It delivers reliable, consistent temperatures and has greatly increased my confidence that my systems have the correct about of refrigerent within them.This unit costs more then many others, although surprisingly this is NOT the most expensive I've seen, but the extra cost is worth in the the time saved by getting correct temperature readings the first time.

The temperature meter is easy to use and calibrate. It seems like a well made meter and it takes less than a minute to determine the accurate temperature once the hvac system has stabilized. I have used it about 30 times and so far I am very pleased with it.
