Great purchase

I have a 2001 Honda S2000, and after reading a few reviews it was clear that the speakers they put in were garbage. Soon enough one of them popped and I was almost glad cause that was an excuse to get new ones. I decided to return some low-rate speakers I originally bought from best buy because I was being inpatient and didn't wanna wait for shipping. I then spent the same amount on these online, waited a few days and I'm glad I did that instead. These sound really clear. The bass hits pretty well and the highs are so much clearer than my stock speakers. I didn't realize how muffled my old speakers sounded until I got these. I will probably switch the head unit next because I know that if anything, that's the only thing stopping these from sounding their best.

I purchased two pairs of these speakers based on the sound quality I heard at my local auto electronics store. they do give reasonably clear and smooth sound throughout the audible range. However, after a while, I have noticed the sound isn't as rich as I would like at the mid and high end, at high volume. It's become a compromise between hearing more subtleties in my music and hearing the mids without that hollow sound, when the mid range is turned up. The highs can screech, as well, but only at the loudest volume. If you're using a stock head unit or under 200w unit, these speakers are also excellent because the volume doesn't have to be turned up any more than with the stock unit.Overall I don't think I could have gotten a better speaker for the price.

I had an older version of these speakers in my Tahoe and a water leak in my back door ruined of them, so I found these for a great price and snatched the up. At first glance they looked inferior to my existing speaker, but once I installed them I was very please. They sound great, have incredible clarity and put out a lot of sound. For the money these are as good as it gets.
