5A Must Have For Anyone Doing Lots of Pressure Brake Bleeding
By Greg Seed
I have been using a Motive Products Power Bleeder Pro with all three universal adapters for about a year now with good results. I reached a point where I could get the universal adapters chained on the master cylinder and sealed well enough to hold 20-25 psi of pressure in around 5 to 10 minutes. For the most part it was a very easy to use kit and it worked well. The problem with using the chain down style of universal adapters is the master cylinder reservoir can only take so much downward pressure before it distorts, cracks, and can fail altogether. It can also be a real PITA to get the chain around the right part of the bottom of the master cylinder to give even pressure centered over the opening in the reservoir.Because of these various flaws and downfalls of using chain down universal adapters on a pressure brake bleeding system, I wanted to find a better solution. After a few failed attempts at modifying spare factory caps to include various plumbing fittings that I could never get to seal right, I found the Power Probe BAKIT01 Master kit of brake bleeding adapters on Amazon. I shopped around to see if I could find the kit for cheaper anywhere else but no one even came close to the price Amazon was asking for it. I did a little research to see if I could find more info on how these work as well as user impressions of the product but I wasn't able to find much.Because this is the only adapter kit of its kind that I have been able to find, I hesitantly added it to my cart and completed the order. The first time I used one of these adapters, I found that it was worth every penny. The product features section on Amazon states that these use expandable o-rings but it doesn't explain how they work. The black knob on top of the adapters is threaded and spins. As you turn it, it pulls up on the center of the adapter crushing the o-ring and forcing it outward. Such a simple solution that seals perfectly every time. First time I used these, I connected my Motive Products Power Bleeder Pro (I had already outfitted it with an air line quick release that fit right on these adapters) and pumped it up past the usual pressure (I normally stop pumping at 20 psi) to 30 psi for just a minute to test the seal. It did not leak at all and the gauge stayed right at 30 psi. Anyone who does any sort of brake bleeding or brake fluid changes needs this kit. Even if you are good at using the universal chain down adapters, this kit will save you lots of time and prevent you from accidentally breaking a master cylinder reservoir.

4GOOD
By ToolPhiliac
Quality: OUTSTANDING!Vehicle coverage: FAIR.1. Coupler is specific. Correct style must be identified and used to make compatible with another manufacturer's pump/bleeder.2. On certain Hondas: mandatory to use a two-jaw gear puller to secure the adaptor to reservoir. Otherwise, big MESS.3. Use a foam pad (not supplied) over the adapters prior to closing and storing the kit.4. Application chart is 50/50. Trial and error to establish which adaptor is proper.5. Universal adapter is cumbersome to use. Perfect centering is necessary. To be completely fair, I would rather not perform a brake fluid replacement if I cannot use these adapters. I use this kit very often. I HATE using the universal adaptor, eventhough the universal adaptor is of great quality.

4Power probe master brake bleeder kit
By nunyabusiness
The only reason I rate this 4 stars is it does NOT come with an adapter / coupler too connect it to our brake bleeding machine. This is a very expensive adapter kit and it works fantastic! But, you have too call the company and order the adapter seperatly too connect to their "specific style" cuppler ends. It just seems for the money they would include this item they charged me an additional $20.00 for. And it tools 3 weeks to get. But as for the tool itself the adapters work great! Be use this kit at least 5x a week, and are much more likely to do brake flushes (read a great money maker and good for the customer as well) due to its easy/fast hook up.
