find cheaper bulbs and its a great product

the fan has very little noise, bright light, uses a special gu 24 base bulbs, i found a company on the web i bought four bulbs for 5 bucks each, hunter wanted 15 plus shipping, measure your bulbs, its around 2 1/2 inches i think, and look on the web for a gu 24 bulb thats around that size and order them cheaper from someone else, there was three companys that had the size bulb this hunter fan takes, it works great, sucks alot of air and its bright, cons is the special size bulb, but a search on the web will fix that problem, plus they are the long life bulbs, so 4 extra should last me a long time..be careful not to order a bulb longer then the size you get for there is little room between the bulb and the cover, very little.....

Good Fan but replacement bulb hard to find

Installed this fan about a year ago and it works fine although it's a little louder than I was expecting but not nearly as loud as the home builders original fan. Finding replacement bulbs can be a challenge but at the time of this writing they were available on Amazon - search for MaxLite MLS13GUSWW GU24 Spiral Base 13 watt Compact Fluorescent

Not as quiet as it is advertised.

This fan was installed over our toilet as part of a bathroom remodel. It is rated at 0.9 sones (which should be barely audible) but it is much louder than a much larger Hunter fan was installed by our walk-in shower (Model 82033 which is rated at 1.5 sones). One Sone is equivalent to the sound of a quiet refrigerator in a quiet kitchen. This fan is significantly louder than that!The fan seems to move a good amount of air and we like the light and nightlight. But, the noise level is much louder than we had expected. So, our contractor ordered a second fan and replaced it. Sadly, the replacement fan is only a tiny bit quieter but still much louder than its larger brother. We are looking for another brand as I now doubt a third one from Hunter of this size will be any quieter.
