Physical Therapy Tool and Beyond

The Walking Poles are the same ones used in my Mother's PT. Some months ago Mother fell and fractured 5 ribs; her recover has been long and difficult. Prior to her fall, at age 85, she was an avid walker -- averaging 2 miles per day. After the fall she has had to relearn balance plus regain her confidence and strength. Her physical therapist recommended the Walking Poles as an alternative to her cane, especially outdoors.We're looking forward to continuing her therapy, including getting her walking back on track. I'm sure the poles will be her favorite tool as she continues to build her strength.The product looks good; the poles are sturdy; adjustments are very easy; the 'boots' are a stabalizing element that aren't available on similar products -- and so very necessary for elderly users. I highly recommend them to anyone considering a similar product.

Walking with security

The exerstrider poles are a great help to me when I do my walking. They add an extra dimension to the workout, they are supportive;very comfortable and I can use them for protection if I need to. This is the third pair I have ordered. One for my college roomate who had knee surgery but it didn't quite help. She walks with these every day and she loves them. The last pair were for a friend who had just had a double masectomy and I thought they might help her when she goes to walk. There are dogs in her neighborhood and she was afraid. They should never be used for this purpose but I think that the security gives you a peace of mind that you might not get otherwise.

These walking poles are easy to adjust, hold up well to activity and the DVD makes it easy to catch on to the correct mode of walking. I really like these poles.
