I had high hopes for this piece

I purchased this elevator 7 ft. condo for my 10 cats who range in age from 10 weeks to 11 years and are all rescues. They are indoor/outdoor (in safe fenced yard) kitties and we have several other Molly and Friends items.My cats do not like it because there is not enough room between the levels for them to climb up through the unit without bumping their heads and having to hunch down. Of course all cats like the top "cat bird seat" level. Only 3 of the 10 felines will have anything to do with this furniture and they climb up the outside post rather than bothering with the more compicated inside route.It is well made but not well designed. It is the only piece from this manufacturer that I am disappointed with. I have 5 other pieces from Molly and Friend including 2 of the 4 level pieces that are about 5 feet tall and my cats prefer these.I knew of course that these 7 footers would be large and I have cathedral ceilings....but they dominate the room in a way that is esthetically not easy to blend with the rest of the furniture in the room. I bought the other 7 foot design at the same time and the cats prefer it.

She loves it!

I am the first to admit that my indoor cat is spoiled rotten, but I just had to buy her this piece. I know that cats like to climb up trees and sit up high; however, my cat is not allowed outdoors, so the guilt was becoming too much. As soon as it arrived, she was instantly in love with it.The piece arrived in perfect condition, which was especially nice considering how heavy it is. Once the piece is positioned in the right location, it is very sturdy and well made and can stand lots of jumping, climbing, and playing with little to no signs of "abuse."This was the perfect gift for my cat because now she can climb 7 feet and sit atop her perch and look down on me.

My kitty loves it!

This kitty tree was a great purchase - my 1 yo 10 pound cat absolutely loves it. For his size it works very well (another reviewer mentioned that for bigger cats it can be a bit tight). He sleeps in it, sometimes on the top level, sometimes one or two levels below. I suppose it depends on his mood. We placed it by the window in the living room, so he likes to just hang out on it and stare out the window or observe us from his high perch. He loves climbing up to the top using the poles, so it's a great exercise too.The reason I knocked off one star (and perhaps 1/2 would have been more appropriate) is that there are a couple of places where the carpet doesn't completely cover the beds (at the seams). It is very minor, but I am a stickler for details... Otherwise the construction is very solid. Would definitely recommend this product.
