Baker 42 Gal. tote-along

I bought my Barker 42 Gal. tote-along 0n 5-3-2010. I have since only used it for 6 months on a weekly bases. In the first three months, the top cap broke one of the fingers off and the front plastic wheels have worn out. The other thing, is that where the hose filler asssembly goes, male fitting on top and to the front, the threads stripped in know time. I used it only on black-top and followed the towing instruction. I wouldn't have minded paying a little more if it would hold up. I'm very dissatisfied with this product. I'll say, that so far, the rest of the unit has held with no problems.UPDATE 03/15/2011: After contacting Barkers customer service about the my wheel problem, Barker sent me a complete set of 4 heavy duty wheels, new axles and parts. From what I understand, they have extended there warrenty for two years after purchase. The wheels are made of a heavy duty rubber with steel rims and axle bushings. They have really engineered a better product.

42 Gallon Barker waste tank

This tank works great. The reason I gave it only 4 stars is because on this size, the top of the tank is higher than the drain pipe on our fifth wheel. Makes it a little harder to fill. But does fill up with a little help. Pulls down the road real nice and drains well. I read that Barker tanks drain and clean up the best. I do agree that they clean out well.We are going to do a modification to it by adding air tires. Such as you may see on a hand truck. Read about this on Wildcat forum. Will be much quieter when towing.Very happy.

First time tote user

I just want to advise everyone that the Barker Supertote 42 gallon that I bought here came packaged with a float/bobber gauge. It's listed on the carton but not in the Amazon discription. I now have an extra gauge. Don't buy the suggested package deal until you see if yours comes with the gauge as standard.This large tote is perfect for my use. It will be carried in the back of the truck, filled via a macerator and gravity emptied. It's 80 miles round trip to the dump site so lifting or towing this heavy of a tote is out of the question.
