Excellent travel guitar
By P. G. Lee
Great value, compact, sturdy with a nice sound. It feels well made and is aesthetically pleasing. I am learning guitar and I travel with work. This allows me to practice on the road or wearing headphones at home. Fits easily in to overhead lockers - domestic or international. No problems with cabin crew or security in the UK, USA or Middle East. The gig bag is a real bonus.

Close to the perfect travel guitar
By Richard Parker
A travel guitar is by definition a compromise. You want something that plays just like your full size guitar but doesn't weigh you down and take up space. It also needs to be robust. There are reasons you don't want to cart your home guitar on that trip with you. The Traveler just works. The scale length is the same as your normal guitar, so no cramped fretboard to adapt to, yet the guitar is barely longer than nut to saddle. It plays beautifully and you can use it with headphones or plug it into an amp. The sound through the amp is good enough to gig with if you wanted to. It's robust - I've used mine a fair bit and it is in fantastic shape. To make this guitar the perfect travel guitar, I'd suggest the following (minor)changes:1. Add a built in tuner;2. Reduce the number of frets - because there is less space between the saddle and the end of the guitar, when sitting your right hand wants to play right over the frets. Shorten the fretboard a little, most people seldom go that high up the fretboard on an acoustic guitar;3. Change the headphone plug. The headphone plug ends up sticking out a long way from the guitar - just asking to get bent/snapped off. I changed mine over for the flat type that don't extend out; and4. If they change the preamp to add a tuner, it'd be nice if the sound through the headphones was more like what you get when you plug into an amp. It's clear enough to hear what you're playing, but not the best sound to listen to.

Just what the overhead compartment ordered...
By Robert Brown
I needed a guitar to travel to Asia and this was just the ticket. It easily fits in the overhead compartment or can be hung in the coat racks. Either way getting it to your destination is easy.It also has great playability and it's acoustic sound is adequate for most practice sessions. I also wish it included an integral tuner but that's just a minor detail. Overall I love this travel guitar and would recommend it highly.
