Super comfortable and rugged

I own two pair of carhartt duck bibs and wanted a pair of denim bibs. I could not justify the purchase of denim Carhartts in this economy so I took a shot at these by Big Smith. I will tell you they are no where near as rugged as Carhartt and can not take the same amount of abuse. I didn't expect them to be. They have stood up to tractor repairs, painting my barn and doing fall cleanup just fine. I wear them because they are one of the most comfortable set of bibs I have ever worn. No kidding. They are soft, lightweight and broken in like a pair of 20 year old levi's. I read the other review (1) at the time I wrote this and found it completely baffling. One (1) star because they arrived with a broken hitch? The user didn't even bother to contact the company before posting the review. He says so himself. Don't let that deter you these are a great set of bibs. You can't beat the price. Just don't expect a pair of carhartts when you order. These are not for diesel engine mechanics who work in Nome, Alaska. They are for jobs around the homestead or kicking back with a glass of sweet tea and wittling on some wood.

How to measure for Bib Overalls!!!

Bib Overalls Honesty with yourself comes into play for the best fit in bibs.Waist:With bib overalls you have to be honest with your self and don't be shy.A little big never hurts when purchasing bibs. Bibs have to fitthe biggest part of your waist. If you are going to be wearing them over items you willneed them even bigger yet.As a good rule with bibs buy them big enough to fit around your waist at the belly button line. Manypeople wear a 38 jean but need a 44 bib because they wear their pants very low belowtheir belly or gut. Again be honest or you'll need to exchange for a bigger pair.Use the chart below as a guide.Length:Generally speaking if you are thick build or above buy the bibs a size shorter than your normal length.The reasons for this are that you normally buy these bigger than your actual waist size to fitproperly so the length is going to increase a little with each size you go up. Great Quality, durable, fasteners are high quality and the fit is great! Husband was pleased and we'll buy more. Price is somewhat high but very much worth the lasting wear. Received in time stated. No complaints!!
