Product Description
For the design and safety conscious parent, the Oeuf crib is a staple centerpiece for the clean nursery look. Like European cribs, Oeuf's utilizes fixed siderails and a lower center of gravity, ascending to the pinnacle of safety and longevity of use. The sides, footboard, and headboard are all cut from single sheets of wood panel to eliminate the hazard of loosening joints. Growing with your family, the crib converts to a toddler bed by way of a optional conversion kit. All Oeuf furniture is made in Europe.

I purchased the Classic Oeuf Crib in 2007 for my first son. We loved it, he did too. And after jumping, dancing and climbing out of it, he passed it on to his little brother. My sons are now four and two, and the youngest is still sleeping in it. Well, sometimes they both get in it and pretend it's a night club or a trampoline. But I have to say that the only sign of wear is actually little indentations caused by my first son's teeth. Otherwise, it looks like it's brand new!Now that my youngest is ready to sleep in a toddler bed, we'll buy the conversion kit, so we can keep using this wonderful piece. My oldest son however is sleeping in a cheap "modern design" toddler bed we bought when he had to move him out of the Classic Crib, and the bed base broke after he jumped a couple of times on it.This is the only piece of furniture we've had so far that resisted the kid's attacks! Very sturdy, excellent quality, and to top it off, environmental friendly.What more could you ask?Olivia

We've had this crib for almost four years now. It is on baby #2. We loved the modern yet warm and inviting look of this crib. It lends itself equally well for feminine, masculine, or neutral decor. The style is simple but still interesting.I wasn't sure I would like the static side rail and low profile being used to our previous crib with the rail that must be moved up and down to take the baby out. I loved the static rail and low profile of this crib much better. It's much easier to maneuver the baby/toddler in and out and no messing with the rail. It also made it much easier to put together.We'll miss this crib when we no longer need it, but we can still prolong the use of it with the toddler bed conversion kit which may be worthwhile since baby #2 is in a much smaller room.

You would think that for $1000, Oeuf would package this crib so it wouldn't be easily damaged, and Amazon could deliver it without it getting destroyed - wrong on both counts. Our Oeuf Classic arrived with a broken frame, and instead of replacing the part, Amazon wants us to ship the whole bed back. Problem is the crib weighs 120 pounds, there's actually a sticker on it that says "use fork lift". It was a huge hassle getting it into our apartment, and getting it out of the box. Now they want us to put everything back, drag it outside again, and wait for another one.Oeuf's customer service is useless - we called to see if we could get the base replaced, or buy one. They will not replace parts for anything damaged in shipping purchased via Amazon, and get this - the base for this bed is $400 from Oeuf! What a ripoff. They have all this malarkey about treating customers with respect and kindness on their website, but it's BS, they were zero help - "our hands are tied". We're in NYC, Oeuf is in Brooklyn - I offered to bring the damaged frame to their office to replace it, they still said no! They have all this stuff on the website about respecting the environment and sustainability - well Oeuf and Amazon, how about when your $1000 crib arrives broken, you save some gasoline and swap out a part, instead of requiring the customer to repack a 120 pound item, ship and back, and then ship another one?Just appalling customer service on a $1000 child's crib.
